Bar Harbor Bank &amp; Trust is seeking an experienced retail banking professional to join our team as a full-time Personal Banker working 40 hours a week, based in our New London, NH location. The Personal Banker will represent the Bank in a courteous and professional manner while providing a customer experience in line with BHBT&rsquo;s sales and service standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Processes a complete range of transactions and customer services with an emphasis on maximizing and deepening customer relationships through the identification of sales opportunities, including but not limited to services such as consumer lending and advanced online banking functionality.</li>
<li>Demonstrates ability to proficiently open and maintain all types of accounts with limited exceptions, fluent in clearing exceptions timely and independently.</li>
<li>Proven ability to identify qualified referral opportunities and effectively offers warm hand-off to business partners in all business lines.</li>
<li>Builds and maintains personal banking relationship with bank customers, consumer, and business.</li>
<li>Demonstrates the ability to build a network in the community by proactively interacting with customers and prospects at external networking and community events. Responsible for outbound calling activities to customers and prospects.</li>
<li>Effectively handles escalated customer situations and involves appropriate parties as needed.</li>
<li>Demonstrates the ability to proficiently discuss consumer loans with customers, input applications and close loans with limited exceptions, fluent in clearing exceptions timely and independently.</li>
<li>A consistent contributor towards meeting branch goals in deposits, loans, referrals, and other categories.</li>
</ul>
This position requires a candidate with the following knowledge, ability, and skills:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of a high school degree or the equivalent</li>
<li>Banking, retail and/or customer service experience is required</li>
<li>Self-motivated with a demonstrated aptitude and desire for customer service and sales achievement.</li>
<li>Decision-maker with well-developed interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Active listening and communication skills, verbal and written; proven ability to adapt tone and techniques to best suit the audience</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to solve problems and acclimate quickly to changing priorities, multi-tasking</li>
<li>Honesty and integrity</li>

Personal Banker - New London, NH

<div>Bar Harbor Bank &amp; Trust is seeking a full-time Customer Service Specialist working 40 hours per week to join our call center team. Responsibilities include providing professional and confidential customer service by answering incoming telephone calls with courtesy and efficiency while accurately processing a wide variety of banking transactions and providing appropriate product recommendations to bank customers. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain in depth knowledge of many banking functions if you have been considering banking as a career. Experience in banking or prior call center work is helpful; on the job training is provided. This position is located in our Bangor, ME location and is regularly scheduled 8:30-5:00 with a few Saturdays a month 8:00 to 12:00.

Working knowledge of Windows, sharp customer service skills, and the ability to multitask are essential for this job. An individual who enjoys being part of a fast paced, team environment will be best matched for this position.
