Your Role: Sales Associate

What You Will Do:
The key responsibilities of a Sales Associate within the Products and Expendables Division include selling and marketing Barbizon&rsquo;s products in addition to prospecting for new customers. They are expected to meet or exceed sales quotas set by management. These goals are to be achieved by effectively communicating with customers via phone, email, and in-person site visits, demos, and meetings. They are required to utilize Salesforce to track all prospects, quotes, and sales. Sales Associates are expected to collaborate and support one another to create a positive team-driven environment.
Who You Are:
&bull; Build primary contacts by connecting with customers via phone calls, emails and in person visits, with the objective of introducing the company&rsquo;s new and existing products lines &amp;amp; services.
&bull; Research, schedule, and conduct in person visits with current or prospective customers with the intention of building trust, showcasing pertinent products, and offering expertise. The minimum number of sales visits that are expected will be provided by your regional sales manager at the start of each year.
&bull; Collaborate with customers, evaluate their needs, and offer suitable solutions.
&bull; Plan and execute product demonstrations with information and pricing as requested.
&bull; Negotiate pricing with customers within established guidelines.
&bull; Enter orders accurately, routing paperwork as appropriate.
&bull; Deepen customer relationships and generate repeat business through timely, and effective follow ups.
&bull; Maintaining a high conversion rate from sales leads to profitable sales.
&bull; Handle product returns and refunds according to policy.
&bull; Perform other customer service duties, such as stock checks, orders and shipping confirmations.
&bull; Add and maintain accurate customer and contact records in Salesforce, including capturing new leads, updating profiles, tracking interactions, managing sales opportunities, and ensuring data consistency.
&bull; Assist Accounting in collection of aged receivables as necessary.
&bull; Meet with vendors during office visits to expand individual product knowledge and sales techniques.
&bull; Collaborate with manufacturers and sales associates on calls and visits with new and prospective customers.
&bull; Attend trade shows as well as industry and Barbizon sponsored events as required.
&bull; Travel locally and long distance as required.
&bull; Assist the Regional Sales Manager with the development and implementation of sales &amp;amp; marketing plans for customers within their sales region.
&bull; Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

&bull; Detail-oriented, goal-driven, and committed to meeting objectives.
&bull; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce, with the ability to create reports, presentations, and spreadsheets efficiently.
&bull; Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is preferred.
Qualifications &amp;amp; Experience:
&bull; Extensive sales expertise with strong product knowledge and the ability to drive revenue.
&bull; Background in retail or customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
&bull; Proven success in phone sales or telemarketing, with the ability to engage and convert leads over the phone.
&bull; Experience in the lighting, entertainment, or architectural lighting industry, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Travel required to industry trade shows and industry/company events as needed

Apply now and shine with us! The salary range for a Sales Associate at Barbizon Lighting&rsquo;s New York location is currently $60K to $80K per annum, depending upon experience. Please be aware extensive industry experience or specific skills that fully match, or exceed what is required, may in fact increase this range. We strongly encourage all to apply.
