Small Physician medical office looking to add an experienced full time Medical Assistant to our growing clinic.Job Responsibilities:&middot; Record patient's labs/imaging results into patient's record.&middot; Interview/ Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and information such as test results in medical records.&middot; Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.&middot; Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians' instructions to patients.&middot; Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.&middot; Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, stock rooms, keep the rooms neat and clean.&middot; Schedule appointments for patients as needed- Answer patient questions over the phone or through our secure portal after consultation with the physicians&middot; Contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests and/or admission.&middot; Perform general office duties such as providing back-up support to receptionist, faxing medical reports and completing insurance forms.Skills/Qualifications: Verbal/ Written Communication, Infection Control, Creating a Safe &amp; Effective Environment, Organization, Scheduling, Professionalism, Customer Focus, Confidentiality, Compassionate, Team playerEducation: High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate or Associates degree in a clinical program including anatomy, physiology, phlebotomy, first aid and medical terminology.Eligible for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k) if 30 hour work week achieved.Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hourWork Location: In person
