We are a well-established, small, family-owned dog walking organization located in the vibrant Fort Greene/Clinton Hill area!We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Walker/Pet Care Associate to join our small team. The position requires availability from Monday to Friday, with working hours from at least 10am to 5pm (flexibility much appreciated), and the ability to work 1-2 weekends per month.The pets and pet owners value commitment and we ask for a minimum commitment of at least 1 year.As part of our team, you will become an integral part of our community, considering our neighbors and clients as family.We expect our team members to share passion for dogs, demonstrating genuine care for animals of various sizes, ages, temperaments, and quirks.Your role involves not only caring for the pets but also caring and respecting their parents, their homes, working as one with the Bark Support Team &amp; execution of precise operations, and contributing positively to the community!We are looking for individuals who are motivated to consistently giving their best, possess care for others, and strongly consider other's expectations. They should have excellent organizational skills, possess a positive attitude, and are very reliable. The job demands physical stamina - a lot of walking and being outside most of the time. They will be exercising technical skills the Bark Support way, and have a comprehensive understanding of dogs behaviors, pet first aid, and city laws - which you will be trained on.KEY BENEFITS: - Comprehensive paid training is provided. - Compensation is per-appointment basis, averaging $25-$30 per hour. - Additional pay for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. - You will have a set day to day schedule after successfully completed the training phase. - You will be a primary caretaker for a group of lovely pets. - You will be assigned a dog walking route within a small neighborhood radius. - We will meet your minimum weekly financial target and you can work more if it fits your capability and schedule. - Provided working gear and equipment. - Opportunities for personal and professional growth in pet care and handling, client relations, communication skills, time management, and more. - Work in a historic Brooklyn neighborhood and in a community that values integrity!REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION: - Availability to work from Monday to Friday, at least between 10AM - 5PM. - Availability to work 1-2 weekends per month and some holidays. - Advantageous to have an earlier start or coverage after 6pm (not mandatory). - Commitment to a minimum of 1 year. - Commute time to Clinton Hill/Fort Greene is 25 minutes or less. - Ability to handle the physical demands, walking a lot, and handling multiple dogs (2-4 at most). - Adaptability to challenges during walks and music be ok with working outdoors regardless of the weather conditions. - Genuinely care for all pets in your care, have understanding for their personalities, and will communicate, and engage with them. - You are focused, organized, and have the ABILITY TO PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS. - Warm and caring personality, you are a person who puts others first. - Tech-savvy on an Android smartphone with basic knowledge of Google Apps. - Ability to ride a bicycle (useful but not necessary).This role may be challenging, especially during the initial 2-3 weeks of training and onboarding.
