Overview:

Barnes &amp; Noble College is seeking a resourceful, driven, adaptable, and customer-focused team member to work varying or set schedules on a weekly basis year round as a part-time Supervisor. The Supervisor will provide assistance to the management team, have oversight for team members within a specific department, satellite location, or store in the absence of upper management while providing outstanding customer service to the academic and co-curricular community.</div>
Responsibilities:
<div>
As a Supervisor you will spend the majority of your time on the sales floor coaching and modeling Wow customer service. You will help train and oversee the daily work activity of team members in one or more departments in the store or for specified operational functions. You must be knowledgeable about department and store operations; provide outstanding customer service to the academic and co-curricular community; help enforce loss prevention procedures; and ensure that your area of responsibility is maintained, properly merchandised and the store is operationally sound.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Expectations:</b></div><ul><li>
Examine shipments and compare with records, such as invoices or orders, to verify accuracy.</li><li>
Record shipment data, determine space requirements and position of shipments, manage damage, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes.</li><li>
Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.</li><li>
Correspond with established representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, or shortages.</li><li>
Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.</li><li>
Use hand tools, power tools, online shipping services, or postage meters.</li><li>
Maintain a working knowledge of all departments in the store to provide daily support, direction, and guidance to customers and team members.</li><li>
Help resolve customer issues and complaints and escalate problems to the management team when necessary.</li><li>
Assist in the daily operation of the store in partnership with the management team and act as the Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the manager or at satellite locations.</li><li>
Assist with assigning work and providing focused direction to team members to manage and accomplish multiple projects to ensure the proper execution of the workload.</li><li>
May be needed to assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.</li><li>
Part-time positions require availability to work on a weekly basis year round. Schedules may be set or vary to meet the needs of the store.</li><li>
Routine housekeeping including, for example, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.</li></ul><div><b>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>2+ years&rsquo; experience in a retail setting preferred.</li><li>
High school diploma/GED required.</li><li>
Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products that meet their needs.</li><li>
Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required.</li><li>
Excellent customer service and communication skills needed.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.</li><li>

As an <b>Inventory Control Analyst</b>, you&rsquo;ll play a key role in maintaining accurate, reliable inventory data across more than 650 campus bookstores. You&rsquo;ll review and analyze weekly inventory activity, including receipts, returns, transfers, reclassifications, adjustments, and price changes, while investigating discrepancies and partnering directly with stores to resolve issues. Research and correct receiving and unit adjustment errors to ensure data integrity.</p></li><li><p>
Monitor negative inventory levels, provide regular reporting, and collaborate with stores to address root causes.</p></li><li><p>
Manage support tickets related to inventory control, providing timely and thorough resolutions.</p></li><li><p>
Partner with more than 250 caf&eacute; and self-serve locations to collect and analyze monthly physical inventories, including gross margin analysis for Division 89 Caf&eacute;.</p></li><li><p>
Process Freight-In and Freight-Out bookings for all stores, reconcile postings to the general ledger, and deliver monthly freight analysis to cross-functional teams.</p></li><li><p>
Support physical inventory and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy of ending inventory and cumulative mark-ons.</p></li></ul>
What You'll Need to Succeed:
<ul><li>2&ndash;3 years of experience in inventory analysis or a related analytical role required.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.</li><li>
Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office required.</li><li>
Experience with PeopleSoft, AS400, Infor, or Oracle Retail systems preferred.</li><li>
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical ability.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.</li><li>
