</div><div>As our new Plumbing Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across City and Guilds programmes at Levels 1 to 3, helping learners build the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional standards they need to progress into skilled employment and apprenticeships.<br>
</div><div>This is a rare opportunity to join our Construction and Building Services team at a genuinely exciting moment. You will be contributing to the development of a new construction centre while working alongside a well-established Electrical Installation faculty, all on one site at our Southgate campus. You will have real scope to shape provision and influence curriculum development, supported by a collegiate, collaborative team with strong industry links and a clear commitment to staff development.<br>

<li><b>Inspiring teaching: </b>Deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality sessions across Plumbing programmes up to Level 3 City and Guilds, combining strong trade knowledge with effective classroom and workshop practice.</li>
<li><b>Learner success: </b>Track and monitor learner progress, implement timely interventions and support learners to achieve their qualifications and progress confidently into employment or apprenticeships.</li>
<li><b>Curriculum development: </b>Contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of the Plumbing curriculum, keeping provision current, innovative and aligned with sector needs.</li>
<li><b>Assessment and quality: </b>Assess learner work to awarding body requirements, provide constructive feedback and participate in internal quality assurance, standardisation and CPD activities.</li>
<li><b>Industry relevance: </b>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plumbing practice, qualification frameworks and emerging technologies, and work with employers and partners to strengthen learner experience.</li>
<li><b>Pastoral support: </b>Support learners academically and personally, promoting positive behaviour, professional standards and the employability skills they will need in the workplace.</li></ul><br>

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</b></h3><div><b><br>

We are looking for a skilled plumbing professional with the expertise and enthusiasm to bring the trade to life for learners.</div><div><br>
<b>
Essential</b></div><ul>
<li>A Level 3 Plumbing qualification (City and Guilds or equivalent)</li>
<li>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS, PGCE, DET or equivalent)</li>
<li>Recent and relevant industry experience in the plumbing trade<br>
Experience delivering Plumbing programmes up to Level 3 City and Guilds</li>
<li>Experience supporting learners with varied needs and abilities</li>
<li>Experience developing teaching resources and curriculum materials</li>
<li>Experience using digital learning platforms and educational technology</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of plumbing principles, installation, maintenance and safety</li>
<li>English and Maths at Level 2 or above</li>
<li>Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding</li>
</ul><div><b>Even Better If You Have...</b></div><ul>
<li>An assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA, A1)</li>
<li>An Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification</li>
<li>Experience contributing to quality assurance processes</li>
<li>Experience working with employers or industry partners</li>
<li>Experience delivering Functional Skills or English and Maths support alongside vocational delivery</li>
