Job Summary</b></h2></div><div><div>
Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers&rsquo; needs. We are currently looking for an <b>Accounting Payroll Assistant</b> out of our Tonawanda, NY office. The Accounting Payroll Assistant supports the payroll and accounting functions by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll-related activities and assisting with general financial tasks. This role handles sensitive employee and financial information with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy. This is a full-time temporary seasonal position that will be roughly 40 hours per week from now to October, in line with our construction season. The pay for this position starts at $21/hour.</div></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Main Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Upload certified payroll and benefit information to the NYS Department of Labor website</li><li>
Help ensure compliance with applicable payroll laws, regulations, and internal policies</li><li>
Maintain organized and secure payroll documentation and records</li><li>

Work with the Shop Manager to uphold the highest safety standards during all maintenance operations performed and/or observed.</li><li>

Job Summary
</b></h2></div><div><p>Maintain plant daily preforming routine maintenance tasks (i.e. lubrication, major and minor repairs) and clean up (i.e. shoveling, washing with a high-pressure hose, running a skid steer loader). Operate and maintain in a safe manner various pieces of equipment, such as, but not limited to, front end loader, off road haul truck, road grader, water truck, service truck, skid steer loader.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Main Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><ul><li><p>
Lubrication of all plant and fleet equipment &ndash; requires lifting of grease/lubrication containers (approximately 50 lbs.) Adding vital fluids to all reservoirs and noting any additions on daily equipment sheets.</p></li><li><p>
Replacement of machine parts weighing as much as several hundred pounds.</p></li><li><p>
Perform pre startup inspections of assigned equipment. This may require the climbing up, over, and or on top of assigned equipment.</p></li><li><p>
Operate various pieces of equipment</p></li><li><p>
