Barsoum Dental is seeking a dental assistant (DA or RDA) who is ready to work in our fast-paced Southern California dental office and is able to positively contribute to our team. Candidates must be able to take initiative, problem solve and be a self-starters. Additionally, candidates must be enthusiastic and authentically enjoy helping people. Always providing excellent customer service and looking for ways to contribute to the 5-star reputation we have built with the community and online.The position is for 4 days a week.Applicants must have 2+ years of experience and be up to the rewards and challenges of a fast-paced, 5-star dental office.No upselling. No recall or production goal pressure. Duties and Functions<ul><li>Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures</li><li>Taking dental radiographs (x-rays)</li><li>Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse</li><li>Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment</li><li>Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment</li><li>Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)</li><li>Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)</li><li>Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)</li><li>Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer</li><li>Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)</li><li>Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery</li></ul>Pay:<ul><li>DA Salary depends on experience, $18.00 and up.</li><li>RDA Salary depends on experience, $20.00 and up.</li></ul>Additional benefits may include:<ul><li>In-office dental Benefits</li><li>Medical insurance</li><li>401(K) with company matching</li><li>Sick Pay</li><li>Vacation Pay</li></ul>Pay: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul>Work Location: In person
