We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team with 2-7 years experience in Complex Commercial/Civil Litigation:Primary Duties and Responsibilities:ADMINISTRATIVE:<ul><li>Maintaining an orderly work flow in your area of responsibility.</li><li>Setting priorities to accomplish the attorney(s) work in a timely manner.</li><li>Communication with attorney(s), paralegals and legal assistants regarding case status.</li><li>Prepare and input daily time for attorneys into Coyote billing system.</li><li>Attorney monthly expense reimbursements.</li><li>Maintain attorney dues to be paid for Florida Bar, District Courts, Appellate Courts and Supreme Court.</li><li>Other duties, as assigned.</li></ul>LITIGATION:<ul><li>Maintain litigation calendar for cases assigned which includes: calendaring of hearings, depositions, attorney meetings, telephone conferences court deadlines as provided in Florida Civil Rules of Procedure and Federal Rules of Procedure.</li><li>Saving of all pleadings, correspondence or other documents that are case related.</li><li>Maintain client electronic and hard files.</li><li>E-file pleadings through Florida Courts E-Portal or Federal Court CM/ECF and serve on all parties after preparation.</li><li>Communication with Court regarding scheduling of hearings and other matters.</li><li>Update calendar with confirmation from Court Reporters for hearings and depositions and confirm court reporters prior to event.</li><li>Saving of Deposition Transcripts, Exhibits and Videos.</li><li>Coordinate and schedule Hearings and Depositions as directed by attorney.</li><li>Communication with clients, experts and witnesses for coordination of meetings as directed by attorney(s).</li><li>Drafting notices of hearings, notices of depositions or other documents as directed by attorney(s).</li><li>Assist Paralegals as needed.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $52,000.00 - $72,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Legal Assistant: 2 years (Required)</li><li>Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Stuart, FL 34994 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
