Our Meat Team Member will execute day-to-day operations in our Meat and Seafood departments and provide a memorable experience to all our customers. A Meat Team Member is a responsible team player and always ready to learn. A Meat Team Member has a keen eye for Food Safety and Sanitation and will be able to help in stocking, production, and merchandising while offering unmatched customer service.<br>
</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities: </b>A Meat Team Member is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
</p><p>A Meat Team Member&rsquo;s responsibilities include:
</p><ul><li>Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.
</li><li>Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling and always giving a genuine thank you.
</li><li>Ordering, cutting, grinding, slicing, weighing, wrapping and labeling according to quality, quantity, product freshness and food safety and sanitation standards.
</li><li>Through proper handling, cutting, trimming and wrapping techniques, controls product shrinks and inventory expenses.
</li><li>Selling products by providing customers with excellent and helpful product information.
</li><li>Properly using the meat department tools and equipment including knives, saws, wrapping machine, tenderizer, patty maker, grinder, while meeting meat department safety standards.
</li><li>Understanding the importance of correctly using and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement.
</li><li>Keeping a clean, neat and orderly, and well-stocked meat counter, work areas, meat service cases and self-service cases.
</li><li>Helping with the preparation of ready to go meat products.
</li><li>Slicing, weighing and merchandising of prepared deli meats and cheeses.
</li><li>Displaying goods following deli department and/or merchandising guidelines.
</li><li>Taking customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer&rsquo;s satisfaction.
</li><li>Safety sensitive position.
</li><li>All other related duties as assigned
</li></ul><p>The Meat Team Member responsibilities will primarily be in the Meat department but may also work in other departments as needed.<br>
</p><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:
</b></p><p>Desired qualifications include:
</p><ul><li>Friendly and customer service oriented. Interest in food and cooking a plus.
</li><li>Customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery or similar experience desired
</li><li>Self-motivated, with a high attention to detail, quality and presentation
</li><li>Skills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
</li><li>Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment
</li><li>Ability to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written directions
</li><li>Ability to reliably meet required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policy
</li><li><b>Must be 18 years of age
</b></li></ul><p><b>Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period:
</b></p><p>Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending<br>
