This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, hardscape installation, and equipment operation within a supportive team environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways</li><li>Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy turf and plantings</li><li>Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks</li><li>Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscapes</li><li>Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, tree trimming, mulching, and seasonal clean-up like snow plowing when applicable</li><li>Use heavy equipment such as excavators under supervision for site preparation or grading tasks</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly caring for tools and equipment</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping machinery and power tools confidently</li><li>Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration</li><li>Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, tree care, irrigation systems, and gardening best practices</li><li>Familiarity with hardscape installation processes involving construction materials like stone or concrete</li><li>Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks</li><li>Basic understanding of horticulture principles to support plant health and landscape design</li><li>Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully while working independently or as part of a team</li></ul>This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn about landscaping while contributing to beautiful outdoor spaces.
