<div>Position Summary:
The School Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within the school. This role ensures that classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other school facilities are sanitary, organized, and well-maintained to support a positive learning environment for students and staff. 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, cafeterias, and other areas as assigned.</li><li>
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces regularly.</li><li>
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to school policies.</li><li>
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies; report any maintenance issues promptly.</li><li>
Assist with setting up and taking down furniture or equipment for events and activities.</li><li>
Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance tasks as needed.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.</li><li>
Report security issues, hazards, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel.</li><li>
Assist in snow removal, lawn care, or other seasonal duties if required.</li><li>
Respond to emergency cleaning requests promptly (spills, accidents, etc.).</li></ul> 
Qualifications:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li>
Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.</li><li>
Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and techniques.</li><li>
Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.</li><li>
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.</li><li>
Flexibility to work after school hours, weekends, or during school events if necessary.</li></ul> 
Working Conditions:<ul><li>
Physical labor required, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.</li><li>
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.</li><li>
Interaction with students, staff, and visitors in a professional manner.</li></ul>
