<div>The senior instrument fitter is responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, inspecting, and calibrating instruments used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition, using precision instruments and hand tools. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Install and calibrate various types of analyzers</li>
<li>Install and calibrate transmitters, transducers, controllers, positioners, actuators, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments</li>
<li>Cut, bend, and install tubing related to instrumentation</li>
<li>May read quality control manuals and testing specifications to obtain data to test or calibrate specific devices</li>
<li>May set controls to regulate factors such as current flow, timing cycle, pressure, temperature, or vacuum, according to specifications</li>
<li>May reject malfunctioning device and route to specified departments for reworks or salvaging of parts</li>
<li>May disassemble instrument or device to determine cause of defective operation</li>
<li>Perform daily maintenance and safety checks</li>
<li>Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company&rsquo;s safety culture</li>
<li>Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned</li></ul> 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or GED required</li>
<li>At least 5 years&rsquo; experience working as an Instrument Fitter</li></ul>

<ul>
<li>Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day information</li>
<li>Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities</li>
<li>Ability to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments &ndash; results oriented</li>
<li>Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines</li>
<li>Ability to work non-routine hours, when necessary</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to travel as required</li></ul> 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>Ability to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas</li>
<li>Ability to climb machinery, ladders, scaffolds, and catwalks</li>
<li>Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another</li>
<li>Ability to operate job related tools</li>
<li>Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers</li>
<li>Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help</li></ul>
