Part Time - Medical Assistant
BAART Programs is looking for an organized and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to greet patients, schedule appointments and collect personal information from patients. The Medical Assistant is also responsible for taking vital signs, helping practitioners with treatment and collecting lab samples. 
To be successful as a Medical Assistant you must have excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. An ideal candidate also demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder. 
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Schedules intake appointments, records and verifies patients' information and prepares medical records on new and returning patients</li><li>
Check in patients, escort patients to and from waiting room, interviews patients and measures vital signs, records information into patients' electronic charts</li><li>
Assist Medical Director/Program Physician/Nurse Practitioner with patient intakes and as needed</li><li>
Obtains blood specimens and collects nonblood specimens such as urine sputum, for laboratory testing</li><li>
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and disinfects treatment rooms, equipment and supplies using germicides</li><li>
Acts as receptionist, performs secretarial duties and prepares and maintains reports and records</li><li>
Triage/manage questions, phone contacts, and fax messages</li><li>
File lab results into appropriate binders and distribute lab results to counselors</li><li>
Attend weekly staff meetings and in-service trainings</li><li>
Other duties as assigned</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School Diploma of GED</li><li>
Minimum age requirement of 18</li><li>
Medical Assistant must be certified or registered</li><li>
Phlebotomy is involved in the position and is a required skill.</li><li>
Possess CPR/BCLS certification</li><li>
Familiar with State Regulations, DEA regulations and TJC and / or CARF Accreditation</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal skills required; working knowledge of MS Office and patient management software</li><li>
Ability to establish a positive rapport with patients; demonstrate a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder population.</li><li>
1-2 years&rsquo; prior healthcare experience in similar field and environment preferred</li><li>
Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.</li></ul>
Salary Range:
Salary ranges from $17.38 to $18.38 an hour.
The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.

Full Time - Mental Health Case Manager

Mahajan Therapeutics is looking for hard-working and conscientious Case Manager to perform various administrative tasks with a keen eye for detail and works under the supervision of the Case Manager Supervisor and Clinical Director. The Case Manager&rsquo;s primary job function is to enhance the overall treatment process by assisting therapists to meet the overall treatment needs of clients. Performs other duties as assigned. 
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Act as a liaison between therapist, the referring agency, and family of the client. Arrange family visits, coordinate transportation, and ensure clients&rsquo; needs are met.</li><li>
Ensure communication between family, referral source and Mahajan therapeutics is agreeable and ongoing.</li><li>
Attend court hearings as deemed appropriate.</li><li>
Ensure documentation occurs according to policy.</li><li>
Attend treatment staffing with prepared report that accurately represents client&rsquo;s response to treatment.</li><li>
Facilitate individual and group CSPT as assigned.</li><li>
Function on agency quality assurance or other committees as assigned.</li><li>
Assist with in-service training as directed by Clinical Director or CM Supervisor.</li><li>
Attend supervisory sessions with prepared agenda.</li><li>
Ongoing assessment of client needs</li><li>
Assistance in achieving personal independence in managing basis needs as identified by the client and/or parent or guardian</li><li>
Facilitation of further development of daily living skills, if identified by the client and/or parent or guardian</li><li>
Coordination of the ISP, including:<ul><li>
Services identified in the ISP</li><li>
Assistance with accessing natural support systems in the community</li><li>
Linkages to formal community services and systems</li></ul></li><li>
System monitoring</li><li>
Coordination and assistance in crisis management and stabilization</li><li>
Advocacy and outreach</li><li>
As appropriate to the care of clients, education and training specific to the individual needs, abilities and readiness to learn</li><li>
Mental Health interventions that address symptoms, behaviors, thought processes, etc., that assist a client in eliminating barriers to seeking or maintaining education and employment</li><li>
Activities that increase the client&rsquo;s capacity to positively impact the client&rsquo;s environment</li><li>
Adequate knowledge and ability to navigate EHR (Electronic Health Record) system.</li><li>
Assume additional duties as assigned by Clinical Director or CM Supervisor.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
1 year experience working with adolescents, teens, and adults, emotionally disturbed population, mental health experience</li><li>
in a pleasant and professional manner with other employees, physicians, providers, patients, and patient&rsquo;s families to promote a team effort through cooperation and respect for fellow employees.</li><li>
Proven competency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
</li><li>Adaptability in a challenging and dynamic environment; understand and work well in a matrixed organizational structure required.

Mental Health Case Manager

 Per Diem Dispensing Nurse &ndash; LPN/LVN
 
 
 MedMark Treatment Center is looking for a detail oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team in partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The dispensing nurse also shares responsibility of maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory and reporting patient treatment information.
 
 
 An ideal dispensing nurse candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder.
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
 </li>
 <li>
 Use automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pump and maintain dispensing equipment
 </li>
 <li>
 Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by Company protocol, Federal and State Regulations
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal regulations
 </li>
 <li>
 Order, receive and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations. (If granted Power of Attorney)
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide daily assessment of patients
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist Nursing Supervisor to orient new nursing staff
 </li>
 <li>
 Other related duties as determined by supervisor

 Qualifications:
 
 
 <ul>

 Current &amp; good standing Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of California. In CA only, a CA license as a Psychiatric Technician may be substituted for nursing license. Current CPR certification required
 </li>
 <li>
 EMR &amp; computer proficiency desired
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in chemical dependency preferred, self-motivated and directed, must have a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

 Salary Range:
 
 
 Salary ranges from $30.50 to $31.50 an hour.
