Be a Team Player &mdash; Most of all, Be Baywood!Through our &ldquo;It&rsquo;s My Pleasure!&rdquo; philosophy, Baywood Hotels has become one of the nation&rsquo;s fastest-growing hotel development and management companies.We are currently seeking a Guest Service Agent / Front Desk Associate to join our team at Home2 Suites by Hilton Charlottesville Downtown (113 rooms).ScheduleFlexible availability required.Available shifts include:<ul><li>7:00 AM &ndash; 3:00 PM</li><li>3:00 PM &ndash; 11:00 PM</li><li>Overnight shift preferred</li></ul>QualificationsThe ideal candidate will:<ul><li>Have previous hotel front desk experience (preferred)</li><li>Have 1+ year of customer service experience (may substitute for hotel experience)</li><li>Preferably have Hilton brand experience</li><li>Possess excellent communication and public relations skills</li><li>Maintain a friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude</li></ul>Position SummaryThe Guest Service Agent is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service. This role includes guest check-in and check-out procedures, reservation processing, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining brand service standards.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide prompt and courteous service when responding to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns</li><li>Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently</li><li>Handle incoming and outgoing reservations and cancellations</li><li>Coordinate guest services with other hotel departments</li><li>Promote upselling opportunities to maximize occupancy and revenue</li><li>Maintain knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and marketing programs</li><li>Handle cash, credit transactions, and guest account postings</li><li>Operate PBX (switchboard) systems for calls, wake-up calls, and guest communications</li><li>Maintain accurate logs, reports, and reservation systems</li><li>Follow all brand standards, company policies, and safety procedures</li><li>Assist with guest concerns and ensure proper follow-up</li><li>Support accounting tasks including audits, daily reports, and revenue postings</li><li>Maintain communication with the accounting department</li><li>Participate in staff meetings and operational updates</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management</li></ul>Job Type<ul><li>Full-Time</li><li>Part-Time</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Health Insurance</li><li>Dental Insurance</li><li>Vision Insurance</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Employee Hotel Discounts</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Ability to work day and night shifts</li><li>Overnight availability preferred</li><li>Ability to commute to Charlottesville, VA 22902</li></ul>Work Location: In Person Employer: Baywood HotelsBaywood Hotels is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace.
