RISK CIB Credit Continental Europe &amp; Middle East manages the credit risk for Germany, France, Belgium and Italy Branches, as well as the Middle East. The team is organized by geography with an industrial view of the portfolio. The Area is responsible for the wholesale credit admission, having as main task to preserve the credit quality of the proposals integrating ESG factors to ensure profitable growth. 
 
As part of CIB the area interacts with global markets, global lending, advisory and transactional businesses for global corporate clients and institutional investors&rsquo; requests. In addition, the area has a close contact with corporate credit areas of all the geographies the Group works with. 
 
The area also includes interaction and management with other risks areas (FI, markets, counterparty, structural, operational, reputational&hellip;) as well as Compliance, Finance, Legal, etc.
About the job:
<ul><li>Leading the credit management of a portfolio of CIB Middle East Corporates, assessment of total limit risk appetite within those groups, and new transaction proposals incorporating the analysis of the specific structure of a transaction, credit and financial risk profiles of the borrower.
</li><li>Comprehension and analysis of financial statements, ratings, profitability, sector guidelines, projections and ESG related aspects.
</li><li>Participation in credit and business committees. Interaction with both internal/external audits, Internal Control and all different units linked to the admission and monitoring process.
</li><li>Participation in internal programs/projects giving support to the different areas.
</li></ul>Requirements
<ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of credit risk underwriting experience within a corporate or commercial banking environment with Middle East companies (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia).
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance or a related field.
</li><li>Financial Institutions knowledge is also valuable.
</li><li>Rating tools. Local Regulatory knowledge. Knowledge of the Middle East market.
</li><li>Financial sponsors activity and structured &amp; leverage Finance.
</li><li>Data Analysis and Data Driven management.
</li><li>Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.

CREDIT RISK MIDDLE EAST JUNIOR ANALYST

 Summary of Responsibilities
 
 :
 
 
 The VP will be part of the team responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of secured Real Estate and Data Center Finance transactions for BBVA&rsquo;s U.S. client base, including REITs, developers, financial sponsors, and asset managers. Analysis of trends and market conditions in the Real Estate and Data Center Finance markets across the U.S. and preparation of internal and external market updates. Assist in the preparation of marketing material and proposals for existing and prospective clients. Manage the deal analysis and approval process of loan requests and renewals, including the underwriting process, loan booking, and loan monitoring.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Essential Job Duties:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience with managing transactions from origination to closing. Experience and/or interest with hyperscale data center finance is important.
 </li>
 <li>
 Credit Underwriting, Due Diligence, and Financial Analysis of real estate finance opportunities in a variety of asset classes, as well as hyperscale data center project financing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Preparation of marketing materials for client pitches and idea generation
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for the expansion of the commercial real estate loan portfolio.
 </li>
 <li>
 Managing the diligence process from a technical and legal standpoint and the structuring process through deal closing
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage the credit approval process, presenting comprehensive credit proposals to relevant stakeholders.

 Stay informed about industry developments, economic trends, and competitive landscape to make informed decisions.

 Portfolio management and information reporting on in-process transactions and closed deals, including interaction with finance on fee recognition

 Moderately complex responsibilities, with a critical component being the coordination and interaction with other client and product groups within the bank, including support areas (Risk, Legal, Compliance, etc.) Strong understanding of underwriting and risk analysis of secured real estate transactions.

 Formal credit training a strong plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluent in English a must, Spanish a strong plus
 </li>

 Excellent communication and presentation skills
 </li>

 Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadlines

 Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, financial modeling and DCF analysis

 With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $190,000 to $220,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
