Responsibilities
<ul><li>Support Senior Technical Designers</li>
<li>Prepares for fittings, by measuring sample to be fit, cross-examine sample against style Tech Pack and against the previous fit samples to ensure previous comments have been corrected, bringing previous fits to fit session for review if needed.</li>
<li>Attend fittings to review overall fit, balance, and details of garment through production</li>
<li>Knowledge of pattern making, draping, measuring, garment construction, grading, and factory production</li>
<li>Develop clear and comprehensive tech packages for factories</li>
<li>Correspond with factories/vendors to ensure all reorder styles are within spec requirements including communicating all fit comments</li>
<li>Maintain professional &amp; clear daily communication with cross functional team and factories regarding construction details, fit and pattern issue</li>
<li>Updates tech packs with current information for BOM, construction templates, and measurements, where applicable.</li>
<li>Issues grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval.</li>
<li>Work with Design to ensure fit, balance, and aesthetics throughout the pre-production process, within the calendar deadline</li>
<li>Self manages workload based on calendar due dates and production deadlines. Knows how to prioritize with a sense of urgency.
</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Fashion Design or Certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, Patternmaking, or equivalent.</li></ul><ul>
<li>4+ years of experience in apparel industry including construction experience with full knowledge of production process, and timelines for Woven&rsquo;s + Cut and Sew Knits product categories.</li>
<li>Knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, sewing techniques, trim and technical knowledge of fabric and construction.</li>
<li>Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Word.</li>
<li>Extreme attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to analyze workload and plan accordingly with exceptional follow-up skill.</li>
<li>Multitasking - Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload and tasks</li>
<li>Strong work ethic, able to self-motivate, work with cross functional teams when necessary and make call outs that displays efficiency for the teams and future endeavors.</li>
</ul>
This is a temporary role expected to last 6-8 weeks offering a rate of $40-$45 per hour dependent upon experience level. Please note there is potential for this role to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be required to be onsite 5 days/week for this position.

Technical Designer (Freelance to Permanent)

Position: Sweater Designer &ndash; BCI Brands
Responsibilities:<ul>

Design and develop tech design packs to request prototype samples</li>
<li>Ensures sample yarns are ordered, dyed, and lab-dipped to create showroom samples for the sales team</li>
<li>Sources appropriate yarn qualities
</li><li>Create layouts for patterns, stitches, and garment construction as needed</li>
<li>Manages the yarn library, swatches, and organizational needs alongside an assistant</li>
<li>Mentors and leads assistant-level designers, helping to cultivate the next generation of design talent</li></ul> 
Requirements<ul>
<li>
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the sweater design industry</li>
<li>Exhibits a strong work ethic, leadership skills, high energy level, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Possesses strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.</li>
<li>Style should reflect a soft, elegant and feminine aesthetic.</li>
<li>Demonstrates strong technical knowledge in sweater making, including expertise in yarn qualities, sizes, knitting techniques, and stitches.</li>
<li>Comprehends fully fashioned sweater construction and fit</li>
<li>Exhibits strong illustrative skills for technical flats</li>
<li>Proficiency in Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with Procreate being an asset.</li>
<li>Capable of multitasking and working cross-functionally with multiple teams.</li>
<li>Able to work independently and as a team player
</li><li>Capable of effective correspondence with overseas factories</li>
</ul>
The salary range for this full-time position ranges from $80,000-$100,000, depending on applicants&rsquo; level of experience.

Sweater Designer

Responsibilities:<ul>

<li>Checks construction and quality of product to ensure sample has proper construction for garment category and fabrication. Identify potential issues and make appropriate recommendations.</li>
<li>Anticipates and resolves any potential pre-production and production problems while in the fit process. Partners with vendors in the resolution of problems as necessary.</li>
<li>Executes fit comments in a timely manner to ensure the fit process stays in line with production and action timelines while partnering with the Product Development team on lead time priorities, where applicable.</li>
<li>Responsible for reviewing pre-production samples (PP&rsquo;s) for adherence to approved fit and construction standards and executes comments as needed to complete the PP approval process and move the process forward to production. Partners with Production Manager as needed to resolve issues on PP&rsquo;s and in relation to timelines.</li>
<li>Maintains professional and timely daily email correspondence with overseas vendors.</li>
<li>Tracks and manages workflow and workload for own product to ensure product areas are maintained with cross-functional teams while partnering with the Design team and production team on critical priorities, as needed.</li>
</ul>Requirements<ul>
<li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Fashion Design or Certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, Patternmaking, or equivalent.</li>
<li>Minimum 8+ years of experience in the apparel industry including patternmaking and construction experience with full knowledge of production process, and timelines for Woven&rsquo;s + Cut and Sew Knits product categories.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Technical Design including construction, fit, pattern making, fabric relation to design intent, and overall improving quality of a garment for Woven&rsquo;s and Cut and Sew Knits product categories.</li>
<li>Must be proficient with knowledge and skill in commercial fit and pattern standards, corrections, grading, construction manufacturing methods, sewing, and technical drawing.</li>
<li>Keen awareness and knowledge of development and production calendar, process, and timelines including experience driving solutions to reach deadlines.</li>
<li>Self-starter with strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and resolve issues in a timely fashion.</li>
<li>Team-oriented with the ability to drive collaboration and excel in a team-based structure.</li>
<li>Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)</li>
</ul>
Th salary range for this full-time position is dependent upon candidate experience between $90,000 - $100,000.

<li>Exhibit a strong working knowledge of Sweater garment construction, including stitch / gauge / technical capabilities</li>

Associate Fashion Designer

THE ROLE: Assistant Designer, Sportswear
This role is ideal for someone early in their fashion career who&rsquo;s eager to learn, support senior designers, and contribute to the full design process&mdash;from concept through production. The Assistant Designer will work closely with the Design Director on the development of the line.
Key Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>Assist in the design and development of women&rsquo;s sportswear from concept to production</li>
<li>Support in building design boards, sketching flats, and updating tech packs</li>
<li>Help organize and maintain design sheets and seasonal line plans</li>
<li>Research trends, colors, and materials relevant to the active and sportswear market</li>

<li>Basic understanding of garment construction and patterns</li>
<li>Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of Procreate a plus</li>
<li>Familiarity with tech packs and PLM systems (Exenta knowledge is a bonus)</li>
