Due to an exceptionally busy order book BE EVENT HIRE are continuing to recruit additional staff.At BE Event Hire we hire out furniture to national events as well as selling furniture.We are looking for Class 2 HGV lorry drivers to join our team.Benefits:<ul><li>The hours are a minimum of 40 hours per week ( mostly more ) until the end of October</li><li>Salary &pound;16.50 p/hr for class 2 HGV</li><li>It is time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours Monday to Friday so &pound;24.75 for Class 2</li><li>There is an additional half time on top of that rate at weekends so it&rsquo;s possible to earn &pound;33.00 p/h for Class 2.</li><li>Throughout the season there is usually a good amount of overtime to be worked.</li></ul>Role Responsibilities:<ul><li>The role is not purely driving - it includes preparing items of furniture for hire . Loading vans and lorries by hand and by forklift. There is a lot of physical work.</li><li>Delivering and collecting the furniture, offloading and setting it up on site</li><li>Sometimes you will work independently, sometimes you will work in a team in our yard or at a venue such as the ExCel / NEC or a music festival .</li><li>We have weekend work, so whilst core hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, if the business requires it you will need to work some hours during evenings and some weekends.</li></ul>Role Requirements:<ul><li>Good attention to detail,</li><li>The ability to count accurately,</li><li>A high degree of customer and product care</li><li>A very flexible attitude and willingness to help and learn a variety of skills.</li><li>The role is physically active - moving furniture &ndash; so a good level of fitness and self motivation is needed.</li></ul>Please send a covering letter with your CVJob Type: Full-time Contract length: 5 monthsPay: &pound;16.50-&pound;33.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>On-site parking</li></ul>Ability to commute/relocate:<ul><li>Melton Mowbray LE14 3RD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)</li></ul>Licence/Certification:<ul><li>Driver CPC (required)</li><li>HGV licence (required)</li></ul>Work authorisation:<ul><li>United Kingdom (required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
