Responsibilities:</li>

<li>Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, debit, and gift card transactions accurately.</li>
<li>Customer Service:</li>
<li>Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.</li>
<li>Address customer questions, issues, and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.</li>
<li>Handling Payments:</li>
<li>Ensure that all forms of payment are processed properly and securely.</li>
<li>Ensure correct amounts of change are given back to customers.</li>
<li>Maintaining Cash Drawer:</li>
<li>Regularly count the cash drawer to ensure accuracy.</li>
<li>Report any discrepancies or issues with cash handling to a supervisor.</li>
<li>Bagging Purchases:</li>
<li>Properly bag and package items for customers, ensuring fragile items are handled with care.</li>
<li>Make sure to follow store policies regarding item returns or exchanges.</li>
<li>Monitoring Stock and Inventory:</li>
<li>Check stock levels and alert supervisors if inventory is low or needs replenishment.</li>
<li>Occasionally assist with restocking shelves or organizing merchandise near the cash register.</li>
<li>Keeping the Checkout Area Organized:</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure smooth operations.</li>
<li>Make sure all necessary supplies (like bags, receipt paper, and change) are available.</li>
<li>Upselling and Promotions:</li>
<li>Suggest add-on items or promotions to customers in a polite and non-intrusive manner.</li>
<li>Provide customers with information on current sales, discounts, or loyalty programs.</li>
<li>Following Store Policies and Procedures:</li>
<li>Adhere to all company policies related to cash handling, customer service, and safety.</li>
<li>Ensure all transactions comply with store regulations and security measures.</li></ul></div></div>
