<div>Position Overview

BEAM is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher. This position supports students in a Moderate/Severe special education classroom, providing both instructional and behavioral support in collaboration with district staff.

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provide specialized academic instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities</li>
<li>Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)</li>
<li>Implement and support behavior intervention plans (BIPs) using evidence-based practices</li>
<li>Collaborate with paraprofessionals, behavior specialists, related service providers, and school administrators</li>
<li>Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction</li>
<li>Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with IDEA, state, and district requirements</li>
<li>Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development</li>
<li>Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (Moderate/Severe or equivalent)</li>
<li>Experience working with students with significant behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental needs</li>
<li>Strong classroom management and collaboration skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies (ABA principles preferred)</li>
<li>School-based experience preferred</li>
</ul>
Preferred Skills
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with data-driven instruction and progress monitoring</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams</li>
</ul>
