Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 annually

Job Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor oversees the clinical supervision of counselors in training or working towards certification/licensure and provides guidance to the counseling team. They help patients identify and leverage strengths for social, educational, and occupational goals, supporting their transition to a drug-free life. Reporting to the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor ensures adherence to schedules, program policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Supervise and mentor counselors, providing feedback and documentation.</li>
<li>Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions.</li>
<li>Provide hands-on training through observation and case record review.</li>
<li>Facilitate weekly supervision sessions with feedback and mentoring.</li>
<li>Conduct regular counseling sessions as required by regulations.</li>
<li>Develop and revise patient treatment plans, maintaining comprehensive records.</li>
<li>Document patient contacts and ensure case-management follow-ups.</li>
<li>Implement new programs and advise on caseload management.</li>
<li>Lead and participate in treatment team meetings.</li>
<li>Provide in-service training and stay updated on addiction treatment trends.</li>
<li>Coordinate care with community providers and handle crisis interventions.</li>
<li>Conduct peer file reviews and assess clinical service quality.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accrediting agencies.</li>
<li>Encourage unlicensed counselors to obtain licensure/certification.</li>
<li>Participate in community and public relations activities.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Requirements
<ul>
<li>Must have an active LADC for the state of Minnesota and have more than 3 years of experience in the field.</li>
<li>Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work independently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.</li>
<li>Proper judgment with confidential and sensitive issues</li>
<li>Effective decision-making in stressful situations</li>
<li>Knowledge of human behavior and rehabilitation of drug-dependent patients</li>
<li>Familiarity with the substance abuse population and treatment planning</li>
<li>Basic computer skills and proficiency with office equipment</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
<ul>
<li>Effective communication skills by phone or in person</li>
<li>Adequate vision for reading correspondence, computer screens, and forms.</li>
<li>Prolonged sitting with some bending, stooping, or stretching.</li>
<li>Ability to handle variable workloads and high-stress levels.</li>
<li>Standard medical office environment</li>
<li>Interaction with patients who may be ill, have infectious diseases, mental health diagnoses, or involvement in the criminal justice system</li>
<li>Long periods of keyboarding</li>
