The Role</b></h2>
<p>
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a groundworks and civil engineering project involving extensive site preparation, excavation works, reinforced concrete foundations, drainage installations, external works, and associated infrastructure.</p>
<p>
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.</p>
<p>
This role requires a proactive leader with strong experience in groundworks, reinforced concrete structures, and subcontractor management, capable of coordinating multiple trades and ensuring successful project delivery from inception through to handover.</p>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></h2>
<ul><li>Manage all day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.</li>
<li>Oversee all groundworks operations, including excavation, drainage, ducting, service installations, hard landscaping, and external works.</li>
<li>Manage the construction of reinforced concrete foundations, pad foundations, formwork, and associated structural elements.</li>
<li>Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour, plant operators, and suppliers to ensure programme milestones are achieved.</li>
<li>Maintain strict compliance with Health &amp; Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, and company procedures.</li>
<li>Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety audits to promote a positive safety culture.</li>
<li>Monitor project progress against programme, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions where necessary.</li>
<li>Ensure quality control procedures are maintained throughout all stages of construction.</li>
<li>Coordinate material deliveries, plant requirements, and site logistics to maximise efficiency and minimise disruption.</li>
<li>Liaise with clients, consultants, utility providers, local authorities, and other stakeholders as required.</li>
<li>Manage temporary works and ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with approved designs and procedures.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, permits, inspections, and quality assurance documentation.</li>
<li>Oversee snagging and defect rectification activities to ensure successful project completion.</li>
<li>Assist with project reporting, forecasting, and cost control activities in conjunction with the wider project team.</li>
<li>Support the preparation and completion of project handover documentation.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Who We&rsquo;re Looking For</b></h2>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Essential</b></h3>
<ul><li>Proven experience working as a Site Manager on groundworks, civil engineering, infrastructure, or reinforced concrete projects.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of excavation works, drainage installations, reinforced concrete structures, formwork systems, and pad foundations.</li>
<li>Experience managing subcontractors and multiple workstreams on live construction sites.</li>
<li>Excellent understanding of Health &amp; Safety regulations and site management best practice.</li>
<li>Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.</li>
<li>SMSTS Certification.</li>
<li>CSCS Managers Card.</li>
<li>First Aid at Work Certification.</li>
<li>Full UK Driving Licence.</li>
<li>Ability to provide two recent professional references.</li>

The Role</b></p>
<p>
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our External Fire Remediation division. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of external fire remediation projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.</p>
<p>
Projects will typically include cladding remediation, external wall system replacement, cavity barrier installation, fire breaks, insulation replacement, fa&ccedil;ade refurbishment, roofing interfaces, balcony remediation, and associated fire safety compliance works across residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and public sector buildings.</p>
<p>
This role will involve managing multiple stakeholders, project teams, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring commercial and operational objectives are achieved.</p>
<p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>
Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of external fire remediation projects from mobilisation through to final handover.</p>
<p>
Manage project programmes, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client expectations.</p>
<p>
Lead project teams, including Site Managers, Supervisors, and subcontractors, providing clear direction and support throughout project delivery.</p>
<p>
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, housing associations, local authorities, residents, and other key stakeholders.</p>
<p>
Ensure compliance with all Health &amp; Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, company policies, and industry best practice.</p>
<p>
Monitor project performance against programme, budget, quality, and compliance targets, implementing corrective actions where required.</p>
<p>
Work closely with Commercial and Pre-Construction teams to manage project costs, variations, risk, procurement strategies, and reporting requirements.</p>
<p>
Oversee the delivery of cladding remediation, fa&ccedil;ade replacement, cavity barrier installations, fire stopping interfaces, and associated building envelope works.</p>
<p>
Manage subcontractor procurement, performance, quality standards, and contractual obligations.</p>
<p>
Chair and attend project meetings, progress reviews, client meetings, and stakeholder consultations.</p>
<p>
Ensure quality assurance procedures are implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.</p>
<p>
Review project risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.</p>
<p>
Coordinate project handovers, ensuring all compliance documentation, certifications, Operation &amp; Maintenance manuals, and project records are completed accurately.</p>
<p>
Produce regular project reports covering programme, safety, commercial performance, quality, and risk management.</p>
<p>
Support business development opportunities by maintaining strong client relationships and identifying future project opportunities.</p>
<p><b>
Who We&rsquo;re Looking For</b></p>
<p><b>
Essential</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering external fire remediation, cladding remediation, fa&ccedil;ade refurbishment, building envelope, or major refurbishment projects.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of external wall systems, fire remediation works, cavity barriers, cladding systems, and associated compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Experience managing multiple stakeholders, project teams, and subcontractors on complex construction projects.</li>
<li>Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, variations, and contractual obligations.</li>
<li>Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.</li>
<li>Experience working on occupied residential buildings and live environments.</li>
<li>SMSTS Certification.</li>
<li>CSCS Managers Card.</li>
<li>Full UK Driving Licence.</li>
<li>Ability to provide two recent professional references.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Desirable</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience delivering projects under social housing, housing association, local authority, or public sector frameworks.</li>
<li>Knowledge of EWS1 requirements, PAS 9980 guidance, and Building Safety Act requirements.</li>
<li>Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Building Surveying, or a related discipline.</li>
<li>Membership of a relevant professional body such as CIOB or RICS.</li>
<li>Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.</li>
<li>Scaffold Inspection certification.</li>
<li>Asbestos Awareness certification.</li>
</ul>
