Requirements

<li>Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.</li>
<li>Must have knowledge of dietary procedures and related Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.</li>
<li>Must be able to serve food and beverages for residents in a prompt and efficient manner.</li>
<li>Be able to lift up to 50lbs.</li>
<li>This is primarily a standing position and required to stand in one place for extended periods of time.</li>

As the Front Desk Receptionist, you serve as the information referral center for our residents, families, potential residents, staff, guests, community contacts, and others visiting the community. In addition, the Front Desk Receptionist shall provide support for some computer processing duties as appropriate.
 
Responsibilities

<li>Greets visitors immediately upon arrival</li>
<li>Professionally handles all phone calls and routes callers or answers questions in a timely and courteous manner</li>
<li>Offers refreshments (coffee, water, etc.) to visitors, where applicable</li>
<li>Manages doctor appointment book and beauty appointment book.</li>
<li>Manages beauty and barber appointment book</li>
<li>Acts as concierge for residents (calling taxis, handling telephone and/or cable problems, checking newspaper deliveries, etc.)</li>
<li>Keeps lobby clean and neat, free of clutter and trash</li>

Responsibilities

<li>Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.</li>
<li>Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.</li>
<li>Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.</li>
<li>Closely mentors, guides, and directs the Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.</li>
<li>Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.</li>
<li>Effectively balances service demands with supporting resident independence.</li>
<li>Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and reports to appropriate sources per state regulations.</li>
<li>Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system and knows when to call for backup.</li>

Requirements

<li>Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification</li>
<li>Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)</li>
<li>Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred</li>
<li>Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable</li>
