<div>Bennett &amp; Pless is seeking bright and motivated engineering students for our summer internship program in our Charlotte office.
You&rsquo;d be responsible for:<ul><li>
Designing specific elements with in overall structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historical, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations, and existing facility analysis.</li><li>
Interacting and coordinating with structural engineers and Revit/Cad Designers to produce deliverables are compliant with client expectations and Bennett &amp; Pless quality levels.</li><li>
Preparing construction drawings in Revit/AutoCAD format, preparing calculations as directed by the project structural engineer, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, performing site reviews with the project structural engineer, and preparing RFI responses as directed by the project structural engineer.</li></ul>
You&rsquo;d be a great fit if you:<ul><li>
Are a self-starter and always willing to listen, learn and improve.</li><li>
Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required.</li><li>
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment on multiple projects, tasks and deadlines, and bring each to completion.</li></ul>
Other Qualifications:<ul><li>
Pursuit of a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering is required.</li><li>
Pursuit of a Master&rsquo;s degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.</li><li>
Ability to learn applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project.</li><li>
Experience in Revit is a plus. Experience in AutoCAD is required.</li><li>
Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.</li></ul></div>
