JOB</b><b> SUMMARY:</b></h1><p>
The Quality Inspector is responsible aiding production to ensure components, assemblies and processes meet requirements. This includes inspection of production materials, as well as engineering or unreleased product.</p><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></h1><ul><li>
Samples, inspects and tests components, assemblies and systems.</li><li>
Audits processes for conformance to requirements, this may also include 5S.</li><li>
Performs set up and inspection of complex materials, assemblies or product.</li><li>
Works with suppliers and other groups inspecting and determining the disposition of materials.</li><li>
Supports MRB, ensuring proper segregation, identification and disposition of discrepant material.</li><li>
Facilitates, creates and updates inspection documentation as needed.</li><li>
Reviews inspection documentation accompanying material to ensure compliance to requirements.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
REQUIRED:</b></h1><ul><li>
Statistical Techniques including: General Concepts (sampling, distributions, etc) ,Calculations (CpK, PpK, PPM, etc) and Control Charts.</li><li>
Measurement and Test Equipment (M&amp;TE)</li><li>
Reading and Interpretation of technical drawings (practical application, GD&amp;T)</li><li>
Inspection concepts, techniques and processes (use of methodologies and equipment)</li><li>
Audits including: Audit Types, Audit Components, and Tools and Techniques.</li><li>
Knowledge of basic computer skills for data entry and to operate testing equipment.</li><li>
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions utilized to assemble HVAC units.</li><li>
Ability to properly complete/audit assembly related documentation including First Piece Inspection form, deviations, quality alerts and red tag process.</li><li>
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
PREFERRED:</b></h1><ul><li>
ASQ certified Quality Inspector with knowledge of 5S and one piece flow.</li><li>
Related experience in a manufacturing environment (&gt;3 years) and/or some college or training.</li><li>
Knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma principles or advanced manufacturing experience.</li><li>
Previous experience with sheet metal, electronic and plastic components.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:</b></h1><ul><li>
High school education or equivalent.</li><li>
Intermediate reading and math skills <i>(report writing, algebraic and geometrical calculations)</i>.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
The budgeted range for this role is $18 USD - $22 USD per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the desired level of experience for the position.
