 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 Position Summary:
 
 The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for the support &amp; optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment operations within an injection molding manufacturing environment. This key role has a direct impact on product quality, production capability, operating costs and overall safety through technical leadership and innovation. The Manufacturing Process Engineer works as a part of a cross functional team to achieve performance goals, and to drive continuous improvement throughout the process.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and systems for a food grade plastics injection molding environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develops product and process capability, performance measurements, control systems, quality standard.
 </li>
 <li>
 Uses critical thinking and problem-solving methodologies for issue resolution and process improvement. These may include utilizing such tools as statistical methods, Pareto charts, flow charting and failure mode effects analysis and other relevant methodologies (Six Sigma, SPC, Designed Experiments, etc...).
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures compliance with all corporate and plant safety policies
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides leadership direction, coaching, and training for all process team
 </li>
 <li>
 Plan and direct the efforts of the process technicians in investigating and resolving manufacturing or quality issues, making recommendations for preventive action, optimizing current products and processes and commercializing new products
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish and maintain a process and quality assurance audit function to ensure compliance to standards and
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop corrective action plans and systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Direct efforts in gaining and maintaining knowledge of trends in the industry that lead to improvements in product quality, product consistency, process efficiency or cost reductions
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with the plant teams to define process specifications, which include machinery set-ups, operating conditions, set points, tolerances, processing procedures and packaging specifications, based on a strong understanding of customer
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in preparation of capital expenditure requests to improve existing operations, increase efficiencies, improve product quality or commercialize new
 </li>
 <li>
 Serves as a resource on plant technologies, control systems, and raw
 </li>
 <li>
 Initiates and assists with implementation of process control improvements using DMAIC planning process.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the effective implementation of investment projects approved for capacity or facility expansion and
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures plans are in place to meet all performance indicator targets/goals.
 </li>
 <li>
 May include other responsibilities as assigned

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
 </li>
 <li>
 3-5 years in process, maintenance, or operations roles in a manufacturing environment preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in injection molding and/or automation is a substantial
 </li>
 <li>
 Self-driven, motivated and capable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Competency in employee engaged people

 <li>
 Exceptional analytical and problem-solving
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent interpersonal effectiveness to support our team-based culture
 </li>
 <li>
