Position SummaryThe Buyer/Replenishment Specialist is responsible for managing inventory levels, placing purchase orders, and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of food products and supplies. This role supports the distribution operations by ensuring product availability while minimizing waste and optimizing inventory turnover.Value Competencies: Each team member is expected to strive to consistently demonstrate the following values.<ul><li>Leading with integrity</li><li>Execute Continuous Improvement</li><li>Garner Trust and Respect</li><li>Achieve results</li><li>Collaborate</li><li>You Focused&hellip;not me Focused!!</li></ul>Responsibilities and DutiesInventory Management:<ul><li>Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock.</li><li>Analyze usage trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.</li><li>Prevent overstock and out-of-stock situations through proactive planning.</li></ul>Purchasing &amp; Replenishment:<ul><li>Create and manage purchase orders based on system-generated replenishment needs.</li><li>Ensure accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers to confirm availability and lead times.</li></ul>Supplier Relations:<ul><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors.</li><li>Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.</li><li>Resolve issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or discrepancies.</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration:<ul><li>Work closely with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to align inventory with customer needs.</li><li>Communicate product availability and substitutions as needed.</li></ul>Data &amp; Reporting:<ul><li>Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory transactions.</li><li>Generate reports on inventory performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics.</li></ul>Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.</li><li>2+ years of experience in purchasing or inventory management, ideally in food service or distribution.</li><li>Strong analytical and organizational skills.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Knowledge of food service distribution operations.</li><li>Experience with vendor management and product sourcing.</li><li>Familiarity with food safety and regulatory compliance.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
