This is an onsite position and does not support remote work
SUMMARY: Responsible for material and parts purchases, vendor relations, inventory control, cost of goods/cost control, purchase order processing, vendor return processing, and internal customer service support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:<ul><li>
Place orders with vendors based on requests from plumbers or project managers.</li><li>
Place orders for stock based on warehouse stock levels.</li><li>
Reconcile vendor order confirmations with purchase order entries.</li><li>
Maintain and reinforce vendor relations.</li><li>
Participate in monthly inventory cycle count process.</li><li>
Improve/update product knowledge.</li><li>
Arrange for emergency purchases through local vendors when needed</li><li>
Coordinate jobsite / vendor deliveries and pick-ups.</li><li>
Manage material return-to-vendor and return-to-stock processes.</li></ul>
Requirements:

 EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent. Two years related experience and/or training.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:<ul><li>
Strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively with staff and vendors.</li><li>
Ability to quickly identify challenges and provide resolution; must be flexible and adaptable to a fast pace and changing environment.</li><li>
Strongly collaborative working style.</li><li>
Demonstrated skills in customer service both externally and internally.</li><li>
Demonstrated skills in decision making and time management.</li><li>
Ability to read and comprehend written or verbal instructions.</li><li>
Ability to write reports and correspondence effectively.</li><li>
Computer skills: knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Internet software. Ability to learn new applications quickly.</li><li>
Basic math skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, taxes, and sums.</li><li>
Successfully pass a criminal background check &amp; drug screen.</li><li>
Knowledge of service / residential plumbing is preferred.</li></ul>
