Glen Arden is seeking a professional, compassionate, and reliable Per Diem Transport Driver to join our team. As a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), we are dedicated to providing our residents with safe and comfortable access to medical appointments, off-site activities, and essential errands.This is a flexible, as-needed role perfect for those who enjoy driving and interacting with seniors in a meaningful way.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Safe Transportation: Provide door-through-door assistance for residents traveling to and from medical consultations, hospitals, and community outings.</li><li>Vehicle Safety: Perform routine pre-trip inspections of facility vehicles (vans, sedans, or wheelchair-accessible buses) to ensure safety and cleanliness.</li><li>Assistance: Help residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including the securement of wheelchairs and mobility aids.</li><li>Communication: Maintain clear schedules and coordinate closely with the nursing and activities departments to ensure timely arrivals.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Experience: Previous experience in patient transport, senior care, or professional driving is preferred.</li><li>License: A valid NY State Driver&rsquo;s License with a clean driving record (no major infractions within the last 3 years).</li><li>Skills: Exceptional patience, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to remain calm in traffic or changing schedules.</li><li>Physical Requirements: Ability to assist residents with limited mobility and lift/maneuver mobility equipment as needed.</li></ul>Why Join Us?<ul><li>Mission-Driven Work: Build rewarding relationships with residents and contribute to their independence.</li><li>Professional Environment: Work within a stable, non-profit healthcare continuum that values its staff.</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 per hourSchedule:<ul><li>Holidays</li><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>On call</li><li>Weekends as needed</li></ul>Work Location: In person
