Position Summary 
We are hiring motivated Solar Installers to join our residential installation crews. As a Solar Installer, you will work alongside experienced Crew Leads and Roof Leads to install rooftop solar panel systems on homes. This is an excellent entry point into the fast-growing solar and renewable energy industry &mdash; whether you're an experienced installer looking for a great team or someone with construction/roofing experience ready to break into solar. We provide hands-on training and a clear path for career advancement.<div> 
Key Responsibilities 
<ul><li>Assist in the installation of residential rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems including panels, racking, mounting hardware, and electrical components</li><li>Carry, stage, and position solar panels, racking materials, conduit, wiring, and other installation equipment on rooftops and job sites</li><li>Perform roof work including laying out arrays, securing mounting hardware, and assisting with roof penetrations and flashing under Roof Lead direction</li><li>Pull and secure electrical conduit, wiring, and junction boxes per engineering plans and NEC code</li><li>Assist with ground-level work including trenching, equipment pad preparation, and inverter/electrical panel installations</li><li>Follow all OSHA safety standards, fall protection protocols, and company safety procedures at all times</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site throughout the workday</li><li>Load and unload materials and equipment from company vehicles</li><li>Use power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively</li><li>Provide a positive, professional customer experience &mdash; represent Better Earth with courtesy and respect on every job site</li><li>Complete daily safety checklists, job reports, and documentation as directed by Crew Lead</li><li>Drive company vehicles to and from job sites as needed</li></ul></div><div> 
Requirements 
<ul><li>Previous solar installation experience &mdash; REQUIRED</li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age</li><li>Valid state driver's license (clean driving record preferred)</li><li>Ability to lift, pull, and push equipment and materials to complete assigned job tasks</li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday</li><li>Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops for extended periods</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work on feet for long periods of time</li><li>Ability to work in extreme environments including hot sun, cold weather, rain, and crawl spaces</li><li>Great attention to detail</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Excellent customer service skills</li><li>Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance</li><li>Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment</li></ul></div><div> 
Preferred Qualifications 
<ul><li>Prior experience in solar panel installation, roofing, general construction, or electrical work</li><li>OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 a plus)</li><li>Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment</li><li>Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring</li><li>Knowledge of fall protection and ladder safety best practices</li><li>CPR / First Aid certification</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus</li></ul></div><div>
