In this energetic role, you will provide essential assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being in various settings such as private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and nursing homes. Your dedication will help create a warm, respectful environment where clients feel valued and cared for every day.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.</li><li>Monitor and document patients&rsquo; health status by observing overall condition to ensure safety and well-being.</li><li>Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and compliance.</li><li>Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.</li><li>Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely assist with mobility and heavy lifting tasks.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning patient areas and shared spaces.</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans that address each client&rsquo;s unique needs, including dementia, Alzheimer&rsquo;s, autism, or developmental disabilities.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience working in assisted living, home health care, hospice care, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.</li><li>Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is advantageous.</li><li>Familiarity with patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or memory care is essential.</li><li>Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and working with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts safely.</li><li>Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.</li><li>Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus.</li><li>Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends may be necessary.
