<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>Reviews cases or appeals for legal and factual sufficiency, requests investigations and drafts the required documents for legal disposition
</li><li>Examines evidence including videos, photographs, documents, and records for use in trial
</li><li>Prosecutes juvenile and adult criminal cases and litigates appeals
</li><li>Contacts and/or interviews victims, witnesses, defense attorneys, investigators and law enforcement personnel regarding restitution, plea bargains and punishment issues
</li><li>Researches statutes and case law issues
</li><li>Performs computer assisted research regarding criminal histories and case status
</li><li>Regularly appears in court on behalf of the State of Texas in contested matters, before judges and juries
</li><li>Organizes pre-hearing and trial dockets requiring witness appearance coordination and negotiating plea bargains
</li><li>Dictates, edits, and updates legal documents prepared by the clerical and paralegal staff
</li><li>May supervise Advocates, Interns, and office support staff
</li><li>Performs related duties, as required</li></ul></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>Graduation from an accredited Law School with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and licensed to practice law in the State of Texas</li><li>
Knowledge of civil and criminal prosecution procedures and techniques; knowledge of plea bargaining and negotiation</li><li>
Technological Skills - ability to operate personal computers, develop proficiency in basic and advanced software and programs utilized to manage caseloads and related information; ability to operate basic office equipment</li><li>
Interpersonal Skills - ability to establish and maintain professional, effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, attorneys, law enforcement officers and the general public in routine and highly stressful situations; ability to develop effective and persuasive oral advocacy skills</li><li>
Ability to maintain the highest ethical and professional standards expected of an attorney representing the State of Texas; ability to organize and present facts and supporting logic; ability to ascertain factual information from conflicting or purposely inaccurate data; ability to communicate professionally and effectively with hostile, abusive or irrational individuals; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing</li><li>
Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance from the Bexar County District Attorney's Office</li><li>
Must clear a pre-employment physical</li><li>
May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek</li></ul><div><b>

<p></p><div><div>Under general supervision, performs custodial duties and ensures sanitation control.</div></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li><div>Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, cleaning restrooms/kitchens, and restocking of supplies as needed</div></li><li><div>
Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies</div></li><li><div>
Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal</div></li><li><div>
Unlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas</div></li><li><div>
Reports needs and concerns to Custodial Supervisor, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels; responsible for reporting concerns related to Bexar County buildings and facilities</div></li><li><div>
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrates safe and proper use of chemical/cleaning solutions and replenishing of housekeeping carts</div></li><li><div>
Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements</div></li><li><div>
All staff members share responsibility for delivering exceptional services and ensuring custodial guidelines are met</div></li><li><div>

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li><div>Graduation from High School or General Education Development (GED) certificate, or six (6) months of general housekeeping, custodian, or janitorial experience</div></li><li><div>
Good knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and methods of custodial and sanitation functions; good knowledge of safety standards and practices</div></li><li><div>
Skill in operating cleaning equipment, such as buffers, strippers, waxers, vacuums, carpet cleaning machines; cleaning windows, dusting furniture, and unstopping toilets</div></li><li><div>
Ability to perform a variety of maintenance functions; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, department heads, County employees, outside agencies/vendors and the public</div></li><li><div>
Must maintain appropriate level of confidentiality in all business and facility interactions</div></li><li><div>
May be assigned to any or various Bexar County facilities, including Detention facilities</div></li><li><div>
Must be able to work non-traditional hours to include evenings and weekends</div></li><li><div>
