Operations ManagerLocation: AngmalyOperations Manager - Carton Box Production UnitThe Operations Manager will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and profitable day-to-day running of the entire corrugated box manufacturing facility, from raw material handling through to final product shipment. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, lean principles, and rigorous quality control, particularly within the packaging sector.Key Roles &amp; Responsibilities1. Production Planning &amp; Execution:<ul><li>Oversee Production Scheduling: Develop, implement, and monitor master production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer demand, raw material availability (liner, medium), and machine capacity (corrugator, die-cutting, gluing, stitching).</li><li>Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve manufacturing processes (e.g., cutting, flute lamination, printing, finishing) to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and increase throughout .</li><li>Resource Allocation: Manage the efficient use of all operational resources, including machinery, labor (shifts, overtime), and consumables.</li></ul>2. Quality Assurance &amp; Control:<ul><li>Quality Standards: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures at every stage of production to ensure finished cartons meet customer specifications (e.g., structural integrity, print accuracy, correct board specifications) .</li><li>Defect Management: Lead root cause analysis for quality issues (defects, incorrect sizing) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).</li></ul>3. Maintenance &amp; Facility Management:<ul><li>Equipment Uptime: Coordinate with the maintenance team to implement effective preventive maintenance programs for all critical machinery (e.g., corrugator, flexo/rotary die-cutter) to maximize operational uptime.</li><li>Safety &amp; Compliance: Ensure the facility adheres to all local and federal safety regulations, promoting a zero-accident culture.</li></ul>4. Inventory &amp; Supply Chain Coordination:<ul><li>Material Flow: Manage inbound logistics for paper stock and outbound logistics for finished goods, coordinating closely with the Planning/PPIC and Logistics departments .</li><li>Inventory Control: Oversee raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory to balance carrying costs against service level requirements.</li></ul>5. Team Leadership &amp; Performance Management:<ul><li>Staff Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage production supervisors, floor managers, and line operators.</li><li>Performance Metrics: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), on-time delivery, scrap rate, and labor productivity.</li></ul>Essential Qualifications (General)<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.</li><li>Proven experience (2+ years) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, corrugated packaging experience highly preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, TPM, Waste reduction) .</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From &#8377;20,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have experience in production unit ?</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Production management: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Ernakulam, Kerala (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In personExpected Start Date: 15/11/2025
