Bi-Con Engineering

<div>Overview:
<div>
The Technology Specialist II will perform reality capture, ground penetrating radar, line locating and drone services, process the data and create reports and deliverables. This position also supports Drafting and Design as needed to keep projects on task and on schedule, including creating detailed 3D models and producing two-dimensional construction drawings including plans, sections, elevations, details, schematics, bills of material and isometrics.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Assist in the preparation and review of estimates for proposed technology services</li><li>
Evaluate project field requirements to develop a plan of execution</li><li>
Perform reality capture services, process the data and create reports and deliverables using Leica hardware and software.</li><li>
Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models from reality capture data.</li><li>
Perform Ground Penetrating Radar and line locating services.</li><li>
Maintain reality capture, GPR and other technology equipment.</li><li>
Provide production CAD support</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma, or equivalent</li><li>
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with terrestrial laser scanning and point cloud registration or minimum 3 years of line locating or GPR experience.</li><li>
Strong understanding of field-to-office workflows and data QA/QC practices.</li><li>
Excellent computer and technical skills, including point cloud registration, ReCap, and AutoCAD</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly</li><li>
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently</li><li>
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations for the Oil and Gas industry</li><li>
Knowledge of Mechanical materials and equipment commonly used in Oil and Gas facilities</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&amp;IDs, schematics, and specifications</li><li>

Technology Specialist II

The Mechanical Senior Designer oversees multiple projects simultaneously involving mechanical components for natural gas, hydrocarbon and industrial projects. Primary responsibilities include assigning and monitoring design activities, creating conceptual designs during project development, producing two-dimensional and three-dimensional construction drawings including plans, sections, elevations, details, bills of material and isometrics from models and sketches under the direction of an engineer.</div><p>
This position is seen as the expert on technical matters, assists the engineering discipline, leads and directs designers and drafters as needed to keep projects on task and on schedule. Coordinate with other managers, engineers and designers in completing project assignments.</p>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Supervising and managing team members, planning utilization, designating projects to available designers</li><li>
Assign, monitor and check design activity based on project estimated hours and schedule</li><li>
Assisting with engineering FEED studies</li><li>
Checking the work and assisting in the training of less experienced drafting and design personnel</li><li>
Ensuring all drawings are in accordance with Bi-Con Engineering and client specifications and standards</li><li>
Exercise resourcefulness and ingenuity to resolve complex technical issues</li><li>
Review and approve timecards</li><li>
Assist in the interview process for new hires</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree or certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university.</li><li>
10+ years of experience using AutoCAD and CADWorx software for Oil and Gas Mechanical design</li><li>
Knowledge of Mechanical materials and equipment commonly used in Oil and Gas facilities</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&amp;IDs, schematics, and specifications</li><li>
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail</li><li>

Mechanical Senior Designer

Mechanical Designer II will prepare complex drawings on a variety of projects involving mechanical components for natural gas, hydrocarbon and industrial projects. Primary responsibilities include creating detailed 3D models and producing two-dimensional construction drawings including plans, sections, elevations, details, bills of material and isometrics from the models under the direction of an engineer.</div><div>
This position assists the engineering discipline, leads and directs drafters as needed to keep projects on task and on schedule. Coordinate with other managers, engineers and designers in completing project assignments.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Independently design small and large projects with ability to adapt to changes in scope and design of facility</li><li>
Train new or inexperienced employees</li><li>
Communication between all disciplines with cross discipline knowledge to recognize issues within the design.</li><li>
Explaining and presenting design concept to stakeholders.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s Degree or Certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university.</li><li>
5+ years of experience using AutoCAD and CADWorx software for Oil and Gas Mechanical design</li><li>
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations for the Oil and Gas industry</li><li>
Work safely on active construction sites.</li><li>
25-50% travel required</li><li>
Occasionally required to lift and carry 50 pounds or less</li><li>
Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time and/or walk long distances on varied surfaces.</li><li>
Must be physically able to work outdoors under all weather conditions and terrain.</li><li>
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time in front of a computer.</li></ul><div><b>
