What you will do:
<ul><li>Lead and deliver hands-on UI/UX design across SaaS products, especially digital twin, simulation, and operational dashboards.</li><li>
Take designs end-to-end: from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, and final visual design.</li><li>
Contribute, maintain, scale, and mature the enterprise design system to ensure consistency and impact across BigBear.ai.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to align user experience with business strategy.</li><li>
Mentor designers, raise organizational standards, and help embed user-centered design throughout the company.</li><li>
Actively contribute to a range of cross-functional projects, supporting initiatives outside the core SaaS product line as needed.</li><li>
Promote AI-enhanced, data-driven approaches and encourage adoption of new tools and workflows.</li></ul>
What you need to have:
<ul><li>14+ years of relevant experience. A related BA/BS degree is a plus but not required.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in design leadership.</li><li>
Excellent Portfolio of product design projects for review.</li><li>
Experience working on an enterprise IaaS/SaaS/software product.</li><li>
Experience working in an agile environment.</li><li>
Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Figma, Axure, Sketch)</li><li>
Experience designing products in the Simulation, analytics, machine learning, or data visualization space.</li><li>
Understanding front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS/React/Angular) to help inform design and interaction decisions.</li><li>
Strong visual design experience</li><li>
Demonstrated experience as a senior/principal-level, hands-on UI/UX designer.</li></ul>
What we'd like you to have:
<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree.</li><li>
Expertise in designing digital twin applications, simulations, or operational SaaS dashboards.</li><li>
Strong preference for candidates who have utilized AI tools, such as OpenAI or comparable generative design technologies, to accelerate or enhance their design process.</li></ul>
