Big Blue Swim School is a fast-growing, mission-driven company that aims to show kids they can do anything by unlocking their full potential in the water. Big Blue has more than 50 open locations providing children&rsquo;s swim lessons across the U.S., with over 250 additional franchise locations sold.

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented HR &amp; Recruiting Intern to support our team this summer. This is a part time position (20 hours per week) scheduled from 9am &ndash; 1pm Monday through Friday starting June 8th. This is a hybrid position that occasionally works from our Chicago loop office location.</div>

Responsibilities and Duties</div>
<ul><li>Draft, format, and post job listings across internal and external job boards</li>
<li>Process and track candidates through the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring records are accurate and up to date</li>
<li>Coordinate and communicate with candidates throughout the interview and selection process</li>
<li>Prepare and send offer letters under the guidance of the HR team</li>
<li>Initiate and monitor background check requests, following up as needed to keep hiring timelines on track</li>
<li>Assist with onboarding paperwork for new hires, including collecting required documentation and ensuring completion before start dates</li>
<li>Schedule and coordinate HR compliance training for new and existing employees</li>
<li>Maintain organized, accurate HR files and records in accordance with company policy</li>
<li>Support the broader HR team with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned</li>

Job Qualifications</div>
<ul><li>Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in HR, business, psychology, or a related field</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace</li>
<li>Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion</li>
<li>Self-starter with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn</li>
