Big Dog Construction is growing fast, and we are looking for an experienced, detail-driven Estimator/Sales Professional who can confidently perform take-offs, measurements, and produce accurate estimates for residential remodeling and addition projects. 
 
 We need someone efficient, reliable, and capable of owning this role from day one. 
 
Responsibilities 
 
<ul><li>Perform accurate field measurements, site visits, and quantity takeoffs 
</li><li>Prepare detailed estimates, scopes of work, and budgets for: 
Home additions 
<ul><li>
</li>Kitchens 
<li>
</li>Bathrooms 
<li>
</li>Interior renovations 
<li>
</li>Basements 
<li>
</li></ul></li>Review architectural plans, engineer drawings, and client sketches 
<li>
</li>Determine material quantities, labor requirements, and subcontractor pricing 
<li>
</li>Present estimates to clients and assist with sales process 
<li>
</li>Work with the project management team to hand off approved jobs 
<li>
</li>Maintain and update estimating templates, pricing, and cost databases 
<li>
</li>Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, vendors, and team members 
<li>
</li></ul>Requirements 
 
<ul><li>2+ years of estimating experience in residential construction (required) 
</li><li>Ability to complete accurate takeoffs and square footage calculations 
</li>Strong understanding of residential building components, current pricing, and construction methods 
<li>
</li><li>Proficiency with estimating software (Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Clear Estimates, PlanSwift, or similar) 
</li>Ability to read architectural plans and structural drawings 
<li>
</li>Strong organizational and time-management skills 
<li>
</li>Excellent communication during client interactions 
<li>
</li>High level of accuracy &mdash; no &ldquo;close enough&rdquo; estimating 
<li>

</li>Comfortable walking jobsites and taking precise measurements
