Job Summary Our West Ashley location is a fun, laid back job with great people, great regulars, and an opportunity for a flexible schedule that still allows you to have a life outside of work.Starting pay is $13/hour plus tips which typically average out to +2 dollars hourly not including cash. Automatic 50 cent raise yearly with potential for more based on performance. Typical shifts are 5:30am -1:00pm, 7:00am-3:00pm, and 1:00pm- 8:30pm. We open 1 hour later on weekends.As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and other drinks but also creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy working with people, we would love to hear from you!Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and standards.</li><li>Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring all sales are processed efficiently.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including the coffee station, dining area, and equipment.</li><li>Assist with food preparation and handling, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.</li><li>Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.</li><li>Utilize POS systems (including Aloha POS) for order processing and inventory management.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous experience in a barista or food service role is preferred but not required.</li><li>Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable.</li><li>Basic math skills to handle transactions accurately.</li><li>Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li><li>A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety in accordance with regulations.</li></ul>Join our team as a Barista where your passion for coffee meets exceptional customer service!Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid training</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>What is your availability and desired # of hours?</li></ul>Work Location: In person
