Requirements<ul><li>Active Virginia CNA license</li><li>Adherence to our Five Behaviors: I learn, I care, I energize, I include, I engage</li><li>Completed CNA training (required) with at least six months of experience in long-term care (preferred)</li><li>Current Adult CPR and First Aid certification</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills (polished, patient, courteous)</li><li>Basic computer, math, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Punctual and able to work the full established schedule</li></ul>
While we strongly believe in equal opportunities, this position necessitates certain physical requirements, including:<ul><li>Sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling</li><li>Lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance</li></ul>
Main tasks and responsibilities<ul><li>Assisting residents with daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure they feel comfortable and cared for</li><li>Taking and recording vital signs and measuring intake and output</li><li>Collaborating with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team members</li><li>Documenting resident care and maintaining accurate medical records</li><li>Assisting with ambulation and transporting residents</li><li>Serving trays and assisting with eating to ensure residents receive the proper nutrition they need</li><li>Changing bed linens to provide a clean and comfortable environment</li><li>Maintaining a restraint-free environment and supporting fall prevention programs</li><li>Participating in surveys and inspections, in-service classes, and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and ensure you're providing the highest quality care possible</li><li>Completing appropriate forms, reports, evaluations, and studies</li><li>Providing compassionate post-mortem care as needed to support our residents and their loved ones</li></ul>
