The Position</b></div><div><br>
The <b>People &amp; Culture Manager</b> plays a critical role in connecting people, systems, and values across the Funatix family of teams.</div><div><br>
This person will work hands-on in Bismarck while supporting people operations across all Funatix organizations. Half of the role focuses on <b>core HR functions</b> &mdash; recruiting, onboarding, training, and engagement &mdash; while the other half focuses on <b>direct leadership and support</b> for interns, gameday staff, and players with the Bismarck Larks.</div><div><br>
The People &amp; Culture Manager ensures every employee and intern feels supported, equipped, and inspired to deliver the EPIC fan experience our organization is known for.</div><div><br>
This position is ideal for a motivated, people-focused leader who wants to grow into a future Director or Chief People Officer role.</div><div><br>
<b>
Roles and Responsibilities</b></div><div><br>
<b>
People Operations &amp; HR Support</b><br>
</div>
Lead recruiting and hiring processes for full-time, seasonal, and intern roles across all Funatix teams.<br>
<ul><li>

Manage onboarding, employee paperwork, and new hire orientations.<br>
<li>
</li>
Maintain and update HR records, policies, and handbooks.<br>
<li>
</li>
Coordinate employee benefits, PTO tracking, and HR compliance tasks.<br>
<li>
</li><li>
Assist in handling employee relations matters in collaboration with leadership.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Training &amp; Development</b><br>
</div>
Coordinate company-wide training programs, including intern orientation, gameday staff onboarding, and ongoing development sessions.<br>
<ul><li>
</li>
Create and maintain clear training materials, checklists, and resources for all departments.<br>
<li>
</li>
Work closely with the Director/COO to implement consistent training systems that prepare staff for success and promotion.<br>
<li>
</li><li>
Support Presidents and GMs in executing training within their local teams.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Culture &amp; Engagement</b><br>
</div>
Plan and execute staff recognition events, milestone celebrations, and team-building activities.<br>
<ul><li>
</li>
Serve as a connector between interns, gameday staff, and full-time employees to ensure communication and alignment.<br>
<li>
</li>
Deploy regular surveys to measure satisfaction and engagement; share insights with leadership.<br>
<li>
</li><li>
Help ensure EPIC values &mdash; <b>Experience Obsessed, Positive Energy, Innovating Constantly, Community Minded</b> &mdash; are reinforced daily through communication and example.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Bismarck Leadership</b><br>
</div>
Manage the Bismarck intern program &mdash; recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, and evaluations.<br>
<ul><li>
</li>
Lead gameday staff hiring, training, and oversight for the Bismarck Larks.<br>
<li>
</li>
Serve as a resource for player onboarding, housing coordination, and seasonal support.<br>
<li>
</li><li>
Work closely with local leadership to maintain a positive and professional environment at the ballpark.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Expectations &amp; Schedule</b><br>
</div><ul><li><b>
Office Hours:</b> Expected to work normal business hours (8 AM&ndash;5 PM, Monday&ndash;Friday).<br>
</li><li><b>
Event Attendance:</b> Expected to be available for most Bismarck Larks home games and select Funatix events.<br>
</li><li><b>
Travel:</b> Occasional travel to other markets for staff training or collaboration.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Experience, Education, and Licensure</b><br>
</div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required (Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred).<br>
<ul><li>
</li>
1+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or employee training (sports, hospitality, or events preferred).<br>
<li>
</li>
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust quickly.<br>
<li>
</li>
Familiarity with HR software and processes a plus.<br>
<li>
</li><li>
SHRM or HR certification preferred but not required.</li></ul><div><br>
