 Black &amp; Veatch (BV) is seeking a direct-hire, full-time on‑site Cybersecurity Custodian to support cybersecurity execution for a new Power Plant project in Beech Island, South Carolina. Supported and led by BV Senior Cybersecurity Consultants, this individual will be the day-to-day on-site custodian for Operational Technology (OT) / Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cybersecurity activities, coordinating with EPC, Owner, and vendors to ensure systems are secured, cybersecurity requirements are met, and all work is documented in a complete, audit-ready evidence package.

 This role is perfect for individuals experienced with power plant control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA/HMI) who are enthusiastic about applying cybersecurity in practical construction and commissioning settings.
 <br/>

 The role begins no later than November 2026 to support readiness activities ahead of Distributed Control System (DCS) Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in March 2027, includes travel to vendor FAT/Cyber FAT (CFAT) locations, and remains on-site through installation, commissioning, and turnover. After completion of the Beech Island project, the role is expected to continue as a full-time ICS Cybersecurity Consultant position supporting B&amp;V&rsquo;s Infrastructure Advisory (IA) Industrial Cybersecurity team across additional OT/ICS projects. The post-project role can be based at the BV office in Columbia, SC or any other BV office location.

The Opportunity</b></h2>

This role will give you the opportunity to:</p>

<li>Ensure project compliance with applicable codes and standards.</li>
<li>Assist in the production of HVAC and plumbing system deliverables (Specifications, drawings, calculations, and basis of design documents) for new buildings as well as for renovation and additions to existing facilities</li>
<li>Actively coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and contractor on projects</li>
<li>Oversee the creation and analysis of project energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis utilizing Trace 3D and BLCC.</li>
<li>Oversee creation of 2D drawings (such as P&amp;IDS, control diagrams, and notes) in REVIT</li>
<li>Perform construction period services (review of submits, responses to RFI&rsquo;s etc)</li>

Key Responsibilities</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>Continues to learn and remains current on departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&amp;V policies and procedures. Applies to assigned tasks as appropriate.</li>
<li>Continues developing and can independently apply knowledge. Complies with B&amp;V quality program relative to assigned tasks. Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.</li>
<li>Prepares a variety of increasingly complex engineering deliverables. Performs research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection. Collects, assimilates, and manages data for engineering work. Prepares increasingly complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles. Understands and adheres to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. May recognize, define and resolve problems within assigned area. May provide direction and guidance to others.</li>
<li>Assigns tasks to develop entry level professionals and interns. Coordinates with project leadership and other internal/external team members on less complex projects. Interacts as needed with other disciplines on details of design work.</li>
<li>Works to understand external client's interest and drivers through regular interaction and communication. Also focuses on needs of internal clients and project leadership. May provide support to business development or pursuit activities.</li>
<li>Shares current knowledge of latest technology and processes.</li>
<li>As skills develop, may assist with performance management process, recognition, and any corrective actions required. Actively mentors entry level professionals and interns.</li>

<li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program.</li>
<li>Knowledge of building mechanical codes and ability to perform accurate load calculations</li>
<li>Intermediate HVAC / Plumbing design capability in industrial, commercial, central plants, boilers, chillers and other related markets</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
</ul>
<p>Preferred design experience related to any of the following subject matters:</p>

<li>Federal industry experience</li>
<li>European, General MILCON, or Civil Works project experience</li>
<li>Building Controls Systems Design /Building Automation</li>
