We&rsquo;re seeking an experienced Master Inspector to partner with our team on a flexible, project-by-project basis.Role &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct detailed inspections of commercial construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contract agreements, building codes and industry standards.</li><li>Perform field inspections of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, finishing trades as required.</li><li>Prepare and submit clear, comprehensive inspection reports, document discrepancies, liaise with contractors and design teams.</li><li>Collaborate with project management, architects, engineers and subcontractors to address issues, clarify code requirements and support project delivery.</li><li>Engage in pre-construction meetings, site visits and quality assurance work as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Several years of inspection experience in commercial construction (preferably including multi-unit or large-scale projects).</li><li>Required Certifications / Credentials (or equivalent):</li><li>Valid certification through a nationally recognized body such as International Code Council (ICC) for Commercial Building Inspector or Commercial Inspector, as required by Clark County Building Department and Nevada regulations.</li><li>For Nevada: certified &ldquo;Inspector of Structures&rdquo; (Residential/General/Master) under NAC 645D (for covering commercial structure inspection) including:</li><li>At least 60 hours of classroom instruction for certified master inspector status. ATI Home Inspector Training</li><li>Proof of errors-and-omissions and general liability insurance (at least US $100,000 each) for initial certification.</li><li>Hands-on experience in commercial inspections: e.g., for certified master inspector in Nevada at least 400 paid inspections, with at least 50 of them commercial structures or multiple-unit structures. Nevada Legislature</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation (travel to site required).</li><li>Excellent report-writing, communication and team-collaboration skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently, manage timing for multiple projects, flexible schedule.</li></ul>Pay: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Position: General Inspector (Commercial Projects, Part-Time / Project-Based) Company: Blackstone Construction LLC Location: Las Vegas / Southern Nevada (project-based) Apply to: tiffany@blackstonelv.comBlackstone Construction LLC is a licensed Commercial General Contractor seeking an experienced General Inspector to join our team on a project-based basis.The ideal candidate will have a proven background in commercial inspections, an understanding of Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 645D) and Clark County Building Department standards, and all required certifications to remain fully compliant under state and federal law.Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct detailed inspections for commercial construction projects, including foundations, framing, structural, electrical, mechanical, and finish work.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), Nevada Administrative Code (NAC), Clark County amendments, and applicable ICC standards.</li><li>Document and report all findings accurately with detailed corrective actions as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure deficiencies are corrected before reinspection.</li><li>Maintain organized inspection logs and stay up to date with current building, safety, and environmental regulations.</li></ul>Required Certifications &amp; QualificationsTo comply with Nevada and federal regulations, all applicants must hold valid, current certifications in the following areas (or their equivalents):State &amp; Legal Requirements<ul><li>Must meet Nevada Administrative Code Chapter 645D &ndash; Inspectors of Structures requirements for a Certified General Inspector.</li><li>Minimum 50 hours of approved classroom instruction.</li><li>Successful completion of the Nevada-approved exam.</li><li>Background check and fingerprint clearance.</li><li>Proof of liability and errors &amp; omissions insurance (minimum $100,000 each).</li><li>Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Valid Nevada driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation.</li><li>Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (Construction Safety and Health Regulations).</li></ul>ICC / Industry Certifications (current and in good standing)<ul><li>ICC Commercial Building Inspector (B2) &ndash; required.</li><li>ICC Structural Steel &amp; Bolting (S1) &ndash; required for structural inspection scope.</li><li>ICC Reinforced Concrete (R1) &ndash; required for concrete work inspection.</li><li>ICC Masonry (M1) &ndash; preferred.</li><li>ICC Mechanical (M2) or Electrical (E2) Inspector &ndash; for MEP systems.</li><li>OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certificate &ndash; required.</li><li>NICET Level II or higher in Construction Materials Testing &ndash; preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with IBC, IFC, IMC, IPC, NEC, and NFPA 70E.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of commercial construction or inspection experience.</li><li>Proficiency with digital inspection reporting tools and photo documentation.</li><li>Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Knowledge of Clark County Department of Building &amp; Fire Prevention protocols and Technical Guidelines.</li><li>Experience with tenant improvements, structural upgrades, and core-shell projects.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to interpret plans, specifications, and engineering details.</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Pay dependent on experience and certification level.</li><li>Part-time, project-based with flexible scheduling aligned with project needs.</li></ul>How to Apply: Please submit your resume and copies of all current certifications to tiffany@blackstonelv.com.
