In this vital role, you will assist in meal preparation, food service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Your enthusiasm for food production and dedication to excellent customer service will ensure our residents enjoy nutritious, delicious meals in a warm and welcoming setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our senior community while honing your culinary skills.&lt;Duties&gt;<ul><li>Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary guidelines and resident preferences, ensuring high standards of food safety and sanitation</li><li>Assist with food handling, portioning, and presentation to create appealing dishes for residents</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and proper waste disposal</li><li>Support meal service by bussing tables, assisting with tray delivery, and ensuring timely food delivery during meal times</li><li>Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards in compliance with regulations</li><li>Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries, storing supplies properly, and tracking food stock levels</li><li>Collaborate with dietary staff to support special dietary needs or menu modifications as required</li></ul>&lt;Qualifications&gt;<ul><li>Experience working in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is highly preferred</li><li>Proven culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety</li><li>Strong time management skills to efficiently prepare meals within scheduled times</li><li>Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food service operations</li><li>Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents and team members</li><li>Ability to maintain cleanliness standards through proper sanitation practices</li><li>Prior dietary aide or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued</li></ul>Join us at Blakey Hall Retirement Community where your passion for food and caring service can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents!Job Type: Full-timePay: From $12.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
