Blast Control is looking for versatile and experienced Assembly Technician candidates to grow our great team!Primary Roles &amp; Responsibilities: <ul><li>Assembly of structural components, using power tools and hand tools.</li><li>Cutting steel and aluminum, using band saws, chop saws, and grinders.</li><li>Crate building: Cutting lumber, using chop saws and circular saws.</li><li>Forklift, telehandler, and man-lift operation.</li><li>Miscellaneous inventory and material handling.</li></ul>Experience Required: 2+ years in technical trades, such as industrial assembly, construction, manufacturing, fabrication, welding and carpentry.Key Competencies:<ul><li>Trustworthy.</li><li>Dependable and Punctual.</li><li>Proficient use of power tools and hand tools.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and physical ability; stand, kneel, squat, lift, bend and climb.</li><li>Reading assembly plans and drawings.</li><li>Committed to excellence and high level of attention to detail.</li><li>Hard working and self-motivated.</li><li>Multitasking ability.</li><li>Trouble-shooting skills.</li><li>Team player with great collaboration skills.</li><li>Willing and able to travel to client sites to complete product installations.</li></ul>Additional Desirable Skills &amp; Traits: <ul><li>Formal safety training.</li><li>Welding experience is a plus.</li><li>Equipment repair/ mechanic skills.</li><li>Electrical knowledge/ skills.</li><li>Equipment operation: Forklift, telehandler, man-lift.</li><li>Carpentry/ construction skills.</li><li>Machine automation.</li><li>Manufacturing training (i.e., Lean Six Sigma, etc.)</li><li>Sewing machine operation.</li><li>CNC machine operation.</li><li>Leadership skills, training a plus.</li><li>Belief that any mechanical challenge can be resolved.</li></ul>Opportunities for growth into new roles and responsibilities exist for team members with the drive to pursue them.
