This position is ideal for a dedicated Legal/Billing Assistant with Family Law experience looking to make a significant impact within a supportive and unique team environment.Job OverviewThe Legal/Billing Assistant position requires engaging with clients to discuss and resolve any issues they may be experiencing. This position serves as the liaison between legal teams/billing and clients. In addition, this position also handles front desk duties. This role also requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a challenging role that will also entail using and expanding legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, along with the ability to be personable and professional when engaging with clients or potential clients .ResponsibilitiesFront Desk<ul><li>Opening and closing the office</li><li>Answer phone and direct calls and respond to inquiries from current/potential clients</li><li>Sending emails with reminders to office staff</li><li>Mail pickup, sorting, and distributing</li><li>Greeting clients</li><li>Keeping inventory and stocking office supplies</li><li>Miscellaneous tasks and errands</li></ul>Legal / Billing Assistant<ul><li>Collaborate with the Billing &amp; Case Manager to discuss the status of client accounts and identify issues that may need to be addressed or resolved.</li><li>Answer calls from clients who may have billing issues or legal team concerns</li><li>Communicate with clients in a calm, professional manner about accounting/case questions/issues</li><li>Elevate issues or seek guidance on resolutions for clients as needed by being a liaison</li><li>Provide feedback from clients to leadership</li><li>Occasionally Assist with Client Relations (Intake)</li></ul>Skills/Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain client confidentiality</li><li>Follow guidance from leadership and adhering to best practices</li><li>Comfortable dealing with difficult situations</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Proficient experience with computers, legal client management software, such as Clio and MS Office</li><li>Knowledge of billing processes</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written</li><li>General knowledge of legal terminology or law office procedures</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
