We are looking for a Director, EPC Programs to join our team in one of today&rsquo;s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the VP of the Customer Installations Group and will be based in San Jose CA, this is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.<br>
<br>
Role and Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Identify, evaluate and select EPC&rsquo;s in line with the current and anticipated future needs of the Bloom Installations business.</li><li>
Provide ongoing negotiation of costs, operational performance, terms &amp; conditions of our EPC&rsquo;s</li><li>
Implement robust cost reduction tracking methodologies and design/construct/product feedback to continuously improve our Installations Cost and Quality.</li><li>
Develop partnership relations with EPC&rsquo;s and pursue new business opportunities for Bloom Energy</li><li>
Provide strong management of the CIG supply base to ensure that business needs for schedule, cots, flexibility and technology needs are met or exceeded.</li><li>
Ensure compliance by establishing and clearly communicating the design, safety, and quality requirements to EPC suppliers.</li><li>
Ensure that CIG installation timelines are supported with capacity and timely acceptances.</li><li>
Evaluate and drive with the CIG leadership team further actions as appropriate where there is a competitive advantage for Bloom.</li><li>
Lead the EPC program to drive efficiencies and migrate the team from lower value activities such to higher value added activities such as New Program technologies for Installations.</li></ul><div><br>
Qualifications &amp; Experience:</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required, engineering background required</li><li>
15+ years in a senior procurement role preferably in heavy industry</li><li>
Demonstrated success in Managing EPCs in the Energy Sector</li><li>
Technical skills to enable identification and qualification of multiple EPC&rsquo;s</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to drive and coordinate international construction activities</li><li>
In-depth negotiation experience and the ability to meet cost targets is required</li><li>
Strong analytical and technical skills are key</li><li>
Must be a highly collaborative team player</li><li>
Must have the ability to develop and maintain great working relationships across the company and with suppliers.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.</li><li>
Experience with MRP/ERP systems</li><li>
Ability to excel in a complex and fast paced environment.</li><li>
Must be self-motivated with a high energy level and a strong work ethic.</li><li>
Organizational leadership skills; aggressiveness in achieving results, yet sensitivity to the need for communicating effectively with other members of the team.</li><li>
