Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Childcare Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a positive early childhood education environment. As the classroom leader, you will plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. You will foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom while ensuring compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations.The Lead Teacher is responsible for supervising and mentoring assistant teachers and support staff, modeling professionalism, and promoting positive interactions with children, families, and colleagues. This role requires collaboration with fellow team members to uphold the mission and values of Blooming Minds Learning Center and cultivate a respectful, supportive, and welcoming culture. The Lead Teacher will also maintain open communication with families regarding their child's growth, development, and daily experiences.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages of children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and foundational social/emotional skills</li><li>Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports individual learning styles</li><li>Lead daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, arts and crafts, and outdoor play to foster curiosity and learning</li><li>Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support early intervention strategies when needed</li><li>Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety</li><li>Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional techniques</li><li>Maintain detailed records of student development, assessments, standardized testing results, and lesson plans to track progress and inform instruction</li><li>Build trusting, respectful relationships with children, families, and coworkers</li><li>Model professionalism, positive communication, and appropriate behavior</li><li>Operate Blooming Minds Learning Center according to state licensing standards</li><li>Comply with state, center and classroom rules and regulations</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred</li><li>1-2 years of experience in a preschool or daycare setting</li><li>Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood education and behavior management techniques</li><li>Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively</li><li>Ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences for children</li><li>Knowledge of state childcare licensing requirements and safety standards</li><li>Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills</li></ul>Join our team as a Lead Childcare Teacher to empower young minds to grow, bloom, and thrive in a positive, team-oriented environment while fostering a safe and supportive classroom community!Pay: $12.50 - $15.10 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED (AHA) (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
