We are growing and are currently looking for an Associate Medical Director to join our team. 

Client &amp; Team Interactions 

<ul><li>
Serve as a scientific expert and strategic partner to clients</li><li>
Provide scientific and tactical expertise during pitches, meetings, and discussions with client and team</li><li>
Oversee Account: In collaboration with CS, monitor and direct work within an account for efficiency</li><li>
Supportive Leadership to employees on account: Provide guidance and support to employees while giving them autonomy to drive projects</li><li>
Independently create high quality content, execute exceptional research to support internal and external endeavors</li><li>
Serve as MSS lead for designated projects: create content and manage assigned tasks</li><li>
Project oversight: Review content for consistency with Brightly quality</li><li>
Build relationship with clients through regular and consistent engagement on calls or in meetings by being proactive and solution-oriented</li><li>
Collaborate with project management and client services to support internal timelines. Ensure work is executed within budget and on time. Anticipate and discuss with team members if/when there is an out-of-scope risk</li><li>
Train and manage SMWs or freelance to operate within Brightly values and processes</li><li>
Ensure capacity is met as directed by manager and proactively reaches out to manager or team members to support when under capacity</li><li>
The ability to reason and problem solve from multiple perspectives and help resolution of situations that arise between team members/cross account teams</li></ul>

Business Development 

<ul><li>
Provide scientific and market guidance and support in writing scientific portions of proposals
</li><li>Conduct research and identify key strategic imperatives for pitches and/or proposals</li><li>
Present ideas and solutions leveraging Brightly capabilities during pitches</li><li>
Collaborate with Client Services regularly to discuss tactical needs and future planning</li><li>
Engage external partnerships as needed to address potential needs</li></ul> 


Staffing 

<ul><li>
Identify key areas of need and discuss solutions with CAT lead
</li><li>May be involved in interviews and provide feedback on potential hires</li><li>
Train new team members and assist in addressing challenges within the MSS team</li><li>
Provide leadership and encourage/develop team-centric staff</li><li>
Aid in building and mentoring a proficient, competitive team that provides medical content and strategic expertise</li><li>
Support development and implementation of standard operating procedures and training materials for the MSS Team</li><li>
Help support and integrate new members of Brightly</li><li>
Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work product by providing guidance, motivation and execution when needed to provide maximum performance and service</li><li>
Oversee and problem solve development of direct report(s), support employee-driven development and problem-based learning.</li></ul>

Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat and Veeva Vault preferred</li><li>

#LI-Remote 
Advanced terminal degree in biomedical sciences, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3 years of work experience in an agency, the pharmaceutical industry, or a related scientific or medical writing position. 1&ndash;2 years of recent experience leading medical communications accounts in oncology and/or hematology and at least 1 year of recent strategic experience in oncology/hematology. Demonstration of success in pitching new products to potential clients.
The Associate Medical Director, Medical + Science Solutions, will provide leadership and expertise in content development, aligning with clients and experts, and drive the strategic direction of the product. S/he will develop content of high quality across an account and proactively recommend additional tactics. S/he will also coordinate project plans and resources in collaboration with Client Services and Project Management, and work to ensure timely and efficient achievement of project milestones. The individual plays a critical role in managing client and physician satisfaction and relationships. S/he will support the development of the team and optimization of team operation. S/he may develop and lead a team to meet capacity requirements on accounts. In addition, this role is responsible for support of business development and pitching for new clients. All MSS roles directly support clients through content generation and strategy.</div>
