Position Purpose: The Buyer II will have existing procurement experience in the Aerospace &amp; Defense (A&amp;D) industry in a manufacturing or Research &amp; Development (R&amp;D) environment. The Buyer II role will have working knowledge of FAR, DFAR and/or NASA procurement regulations, price analysis and target pricing techniques, as well as prior experience procuring Custom Fab-to-Print commodities.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $43.50

On-site position at our Lafayette, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Monitor, prepare and process purchases based on assigned commodities in ERP system.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Complete purchase order packages to meet company and government compliance requirements</li>
</ul><ul><li>Assist in researching and qualifying new vendors, on-board new vendors, evaluate bids, and build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers while achieving the best price, quality, and on time delivery</li>
</ul><ul><li>Lead negotiation effort on Purchase Orders and payment terms with vendors to align with company objectives
</li></ul><ul><li>Review redlines, negotiate, and process Non-Disclosure Agreements and Terms and Conditions with suppliers as required</li>
</ul><ul><li>Independently maintains liaison with suppliers and internal organizations to prevent program delays</li>
</ul><ul><li>Manage the procurement lifecycle for assigned commodities, including wire harnesses, cable assemblies, racks, and other associated hardware</li>
</ul><ul><li>Independently manage supplier RFQ&rsquo;s, Purchase Orders, delivery schedules, and cost</li>
</ul><ul><li>Set and maintain accurate item lead times in the system and hold suppliers accountable to their commitments and to meet performance expectations</li>
</ul><ul><li>Buy parts according to specifications ensuring compliance with company quality standards. Work with Suppliers and Supplier Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues</li>
</ul><ul><li>Analyze supplier capacity, lead times, pricing, and manufacturing constraints to support Program schedule</li>
</ul><ul><li>Lead and attend program and supplier meetings as required</li>
</ul><ul><li>Work cross functionally with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, Material Program Manager, Planning, and Accounting to meet business needs</li>
</ul><ul><li>Provide purchasing and expediting support to the company for critical material shortages</li>
</ul><ul><li>Review open orders for critical parts on a regular basis to avoid last minute expedite</li>
</ul><ul><li>Maintain accurate purchase order due dates and communicate changes to the company</li>
</ul><ul><li>Comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), ensures adherence to requirements and advises management and compliance organization on needed actions</li>
</ul><ul><li>Work with engineers and suppliers for Part Change Notification and End of Life purchases.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Other responsibilities as assigned</li></ul> 


Required Qualifications/Education:
<ul>
<li>Must have at least 3-7 years of Buyer experience
</li></ul><ul><li>Must have at least three years of ERP experience</li>
</ul><ul><li>Must have a bachelor&rsquo;s degree and minimum of three years of purchasing/supply chain</li>

<li>Must be able to understand/read engineering drawings</li>
</ul><ul><li>SAP system experience preferred</li>
</ul><ul><li>Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance</li>
</ul><ul><li>Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, self-motivated, and be able to drive a process from start to finish</li>

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. Job Responsibilities:

</ul><ul><li>Maintain and monitor Visitor Calendar following visitor protocol</li>
</ul><ul><li>Procure office supplies and breakroom drinks and snacks. Keep break rooms and office supply area organized and stocked</li>
</ul><ul><li>Manage and deconflict conference room calendars</li>
</ul><ul><li>Plan, schedule, and coordinate all catering requests for BCT customer meetings and internal meetings, as required</li>
</ul><ul><li>Reconcile and submit monthly credit card statements following the current guidelines</li>
</ul><ul><li>Manage seating chart for each facility, coordinate with managers for new hire placement, internal transfers and other seating requests as they arise</li>
</ul><ul><li>Coordinate new employee desk(s) preparation</li>
</ul><ul><li>Responsible for ESD jacket cleaning process</li>
</ul><ul><li>Oversee BCT specific projects as directed by manager</li>
</ul><ul><li>Follow confidentiality of information and general policies and procedures</li>
