The Role</b></p><p>
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for <b>driving residential construction projects from start to finish</b>, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest level of quality. You will be the bridge between design, field teams, trade partners, and clients-bringing clarity, structure, and leadership to every project.</p><p>
This role requires a balance of <b>strategic planning and hands-on execution</b>. We are seeking someone with <b>specific knowledge of DC zoning, codes, and permitting processes, as </b>building in Washington, D.C. comes with unique considerations<b>.</b> You should also be technically proficient in <b>building homes from the ground up</b> and comfortable <b>leading building inspections with local authorities</b> to ensure compliance at every stage.</p><p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Lead project planning, scheduling, and preparation to ensure projects start on time and are resourced effectively.</li><li>
Build and maintain realistic schedules with trade and crew commitments.</li><li>
Ensure materials are ready on time and anticipate project needs.</li><li>
Manage execution by holding subs, vendors, and crews accountable for quality, budget, and deadlines.</li><li>
Coordinate closely with design and operations teams to ensure seamless handoffs and proactive issue resolution.</li><li>
Lead inspections with DC authorities and ensure all compliance standards are met.</li><li>
Serve as the primary client contact, setting expectations early, providing updates, and ensuring a positive experience throughout construction.</li><li>
Uphold Blue Star's reputation by modeling professionalism, communication, and respect in all interactions.</li></ul><p><b>
What We're Looking For</b></p><ul><li>
5+ years of experience in <b>residential construction project management</b> (high-end/luxury preferred).</li><li>
Strong understanding of <b>construction scheduling, budgeting, and full-cycle home building operations.</b></li><li>
Knowledge of <b>Washington, D.C. zoning laws, codes, and permitting processes.</b></li><li>
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and build trust with clients and trade partners.</li><li>
Experience managing and leading building inspections with local authorities.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and adapt.</li><li>
A mindset of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.</li></ul><p><b>
Compensation and benefits</b></p><ul><li><b>
Base Salary:</b> $85,000 - $110,000 per year (depending on experience).</li><li>
